Omg thank you so much for this guide. Just went through the Core Campaign (and bought Dunwich) and want to play the Core again but this time two handed. Was a little bit overwelmed (? sorry for my english and greetings from Germany :D) by the deck building aspect as my Magic the Gathering days are long gone, but this guide was one of the most streamlined and easiest to undestand. Good video. Especially the last tip about drawing hands and mulligans. I do that in arkhamdb just so I don't have to reshuffle the deck everytime.

Drawing mulligans to assess your decks weaknesses is probably the single most helpful AH tip I’ve come across. BTW... I have been playing the core campaign “ Night of the Zealot” with two core sets and two handed “Roland” and “Wendy”. I have done well in the first two scenarios multiple times but have not even come close to beating the last one! When I start over I use the starter decks and build from there. Is the core campaign supposed to be this difficult?

When the game first came out, I had a difficult time with the third scenario in the core set. When you start building your collection, you feel very appreciative when you start swapping out less effective cards from your deck. I love the game because it was so difficult in the core set. When I did finish the core game with our play group, we all felt a sense of accomplishment. Keep at it, the more you play, the better you will get at it. I still play the core set often when playtesting.

The core campaign is THE hardest campaign in the game. I've played every expansion and it is crazy how much of a difference there is

When picking basic skill booster cards, which ones do you know to put in your deck besides Courage? Like, what you're good at, or what you're bad at?

I would recommend putting basic skill cards into your deck based upon deficiencies you may have. When performing a skill check, try to have a +2 bonus to the skill check. With a +2 bonus, you will make the skill check successfully the majority of the time. Place basic skill cards into the deck to ensure that you make these checks. Maybe you are a little light on agility symbols and want to ensure that you can evade. In this case, add two copies of Manual Dexterity into the deck. Guts is another basic skill card that I recommend adding to decks for characters that have low willpower scores.

Skill cards can be amazingly useful in most decks but... they're a bit more subtle. I'd also disagree with the 2 emergency caches in every deck. While 3 resources for 0 is fantastic... that it takes an action and might take the place of a more useful card lowers it's use. After working out the action economy and finding better cards to take its place... none of my decks have Resource Caches in them any more.

I think for newer players, especially with a small collection, emergency cache is a solid choice. When people gain more experience at deck building and have a larger collection, I agree that you may not need to use the card any more.
