Seratonin is a neurotransmitter that is associated with sleep, mood, and appetite; this is also where its association of giving genuine satisfaction came from, as oppose to dopamine with pleasure. So when the word was put into context from the verse, it might mean feeling satisfied and introspective after a day's work.
