Arknights: Endfield is a new game developed by Hypergryph, the creators of the popular mobile game Arknights. It's a real-time 3D RPG with strategic elements set in the Arknights universe.
The game introduces a new protagonist known as the Endministrator, who becomes involved in the affairs of Endfield Industries and the mysterious planet Talos-II.

2025 is sweet time. people worry about waning hype but releasing because of fear of hype fading will only get you temporary player who will hop on to other hyped title

after experiencing the defence and parry system on Ex-Astris, I think it would work well with Endfield. also, It would be awesome if they do the "Accces Key" or "Light Cone" system instead of "weapon" system.

From a technical test to release in a year or so is kinda fast...hope the team isn't under pressure to rush it out. I rather they are able to optimise the game properly and not chase hype. Imo it's not what will ensure longevity in the current gaccha market, especially when a good first impression is needed.

2026 is fine even. some said 2025 is too long but that just a year longer than WW from announced to release, WW as game already has more solid foundation in gameplay compared to Endfield a.k.a it's nothing experimental in the genre but even then you saw how they could benefit with more time. you may argue that WW releasing later will clash with ZZZ, and that the fiasco with the bug actually helped with the promotion as it was being talked everywhere. but that's bcs they able to pull out from that mess which very well could not be done in such short time. let's face it chasing the hype would do no damn shit, the market will always bred more 3d anime stuff till the end of time. and Endfield will never have the same amount of hype with WW as the later were a direct attempt to take genshin market or ZZZ being mihoyo's. and you know what that's fine. what's there to achieve in chasing the hype? if it means it's gonna be rushed? it'll only ended up being dregs of forgotten things. let them polish as much as they could, don't rely of it being a live service game for it to be polished mostly along the way. and if you're afraid that without the hype Endfield will get cancelled along the way it won't happen, this a continuation. HG's golden IP. and they don't need immediate tens of millions of revenue from the start for it to stay afloat. it will always have its own market

Endfield is much more niche than Arknights main game a base builder/factorio focused gameplay. The way HG makes things is to make a niche but big audience for their game and capitilaze on it so no other game release impacts them at all. Hence why Arknights has consistent revenue all trough its lifetime

@@kyarumomochi5146 and that is the key. tbh ww wouldn't be the last to contest directly for influence with genshin market, and it's sort of a big luck that they could bounce back so early from the release problems and gain a foothold in the market, but more and more gonna come for that sweet money and they will come strong. Azur Promilla for example, en side may say that's a coomer game, but the current situation with Snowbreak shows how the political divide in cn and kr market benefit them in the tens of millions per month. the market will be saturated, a simple 3d arpg open world would need a lot of going on in other department to stay afloat in the future.

Thats why i shut down anyone that attempts to call endfield "GenShin KillEr" or "WiL kIlL ArkNiGhTs" HG is going to CREATE a fan base around the game and specialize in it, NOT cater to a existing fan base of a genra thats clouded with games like Open world gachas, Turn baseds or action RPGs. Endfield will be its own thing and thats good as the fanbase it will create will be just as sturdy as Arknights. All they have to do is nail the niche formula just like they did before and they got themselves a second consistent source of currency!

i think its way too soon lol sure the alpha seemed more like a beta but I feel like they should take their time to make more content in it before releasing especially since it's not like they need the game to generate money before they start making all the things they envision

Seems pretty early to be honest. But at same time the hype around the game is fading away and newly announced tittle like NTE and Azur promilla are likely to also come out next year, so naturally very concerned because those games are likely to attract more players. Endfield shows potential but what they showed till now isn't very impressive either. They must make every part of the game outstanding to be relevant in market that includes good starting story, most gaccha suck at it.

I feel bad for Arknights Endfield because if they release in around July to October then they might be 💀 since Hsr has Fate collab which is very big! And not even that Wuwa will have new regions, zzz new streets, Genshin new region, and hsr new world which are really anticipated each year but Japan will go harder for hsr and fate collab then Arknights endfield

The game has a different audience and appeal compared to games like HSR, wuwa or upcoming gaccha games so it won't be affected. Why you ask? People who like action or turn based combat won't like Endfield base building or tactical combat style but people who like games like xenoblade chronicle or statsfactory will love it. Not to mention Arknights as an IP already has a big fandom around the world thanks tower defense Arknights.

the launch was unfortunate bc it got hit with bugs, not to mention a lot of players could not play the game on their phones. If it was a PC or console launch maybe things would've been different

sense you reach out to the devs that made the game, can you tell them if the characters from the mobile game are going to be in endfield, i would love to play as lappland and mostima in 3d

The story takes place 500 years into the future. So characters like lappland and mostima are dead. Especially the ones with oripathy. Only artificial life like Kal'tsit and non infected sarkaz can live that long. They could be bought back with cloning but that is the worst method of bringing them into Endfield

​@taufikhidayatullah3221 Fairly certain Mostima only has subjective time dilation, so her powers don't directly affect time. But it could be possible she gains access to more powers from the lock and key in a future alter.

The art direction for the environment design was so bad. 😣 This is an open-world, but the world lacked visual interest. Ex Astris' scenery looked gorgeous though. I REALLY hope Endfield improves its scenery. In open-world games especially, attractive scenery is just as important (sometimes even more important in some cases) than the characters themselves.

Endfield's world design is not meant to be attractive, since it's set on a barren, "post-apocalyptic" planet. Though it definitely needs more points of interests.
