Great analysis! She achieved her goal, using all means necessary, leaving everyone behind. She reached the sky (space). It was her parents' goal, and, after their tragic death - her own goal.

what Kristen did was indeed crazy and she hurt a lot of people in pursuit of her goal, with how single minded she was But that goal was well worth it and kinda like the Space Race in real life, it sent an electric shock to mankind, saying "Yes, we can do it" nice analysis!

Kristen Wright achieved her goal but like another commenter said, she sacrificed everything for it. This is actually a new song not released with thr event but is for a lone trail npc! Fun fact is that her name is a reference for both the first people to ever fly (the Wright brothers) and the first American woman in space (Sally Kristen Ride). Control's Wishes was her boss theme. If looking for more AK songs Id love to see Whistle Stop! Its funky but I grew to enjoy it

I honestly didn't know about this song, since it was only recently released; it wasn't released with Lone Trail, even though the character is from that event. This song is for Kristen Wright, who is actually an NPC, not a playable operator, which is why I believe it wasn't released with Lone Trail, since it's not an operator theme. And yes, the name is a reference to the Wright brothers. Really fitting if you ask me with the song's theme of touching the sky.

This music has the same vibe as Ex Astris ending theme. Both person are leaving in a sense while Kirsten leaving Terra pursuing her believes, Yan leaving Allindo coming back to home after she finished her investigation.

also re: the story discussion, I think the character based on the song definitely qualifies as insane, she basically has 1 life goal to get to space and goes to insane lengths to reach it and promises the world to anyone who will help her accomplish it and uses them all and betrays/abandons everyone at the end once she is able to reach it (because if they knew what she was going to do they would stop her). but she totally pushed science forward a huge amount in the course of doing so and made some huge discoveries about the world that nobody knew before

She didn't promise world to anyone. She was just walking towards her goal, rhine lab is just a byproduct of her path. Plus, she still helped her colleagues, for example, she installed an arboretum for Mumu. Abandon is the right word, but I don't agree with betrays.

@@Cosyacor She does betray Mumu though. The data given to Mumu about the state of the arboretum was a lie - it said everything died as soon as they reached outer space, but that was not true at all. In a sense this is a kindness because it keeps Mumu from chasing a nearly impossible dream of thinking she could establish some kind of elven colony away from Terra and all the originium. However, it's also hypocritical because Kristen was all about chasing an impossible dream and making it happen anyways, but perhaps she didn't want to burden Mumu like that.

@Reldan information about dead plants was from mumu herself if i remember it right. Survived only plants that were with Kristen, so she couldn't tell about it anyone.

Kirsten Wright (that is the NPC name in the song) is basically a researcher (and head of Rhine Lab) which will sacrifice everything (including herself) for her aim (which in this case world beyond the barrier (if we say in our term is outer space (as real earth actually has some kind of barrier))). She basically just use everything for herself thus this lead to questionable decision like making weapon (which like a nuke but worse) for a fund, using people life as a fuel, "human" experimentation, etc. This lead to beef to her only best friend Saria after certain incident. Thus in the end, she die(?) alone albeit she achieve her goal.

Hi, I'm a lurker that never comments but watches all your videos lol 😉 Your analysis of her lore and personality are pretty much on top. --- TLDR Lore Dump --- The world of Terra has a fake sky surrounding it and flying at a certain height is deadly as a kind of a barrier exists. Her parents died in an attempt to fly past the barrier and were ridiculed and deemed as idiots for doing it. She was a kid at the time. Her whole purpose is to prove her parents had a reason, so by any means she managed to create a rocket capable of breaking the barrier. She is a likable antagonist that literally made a hole in the sky, people finally acknowledged the effort and discovered new secrets. Now she's supposedly dead in the outer space. --- End of Lore Dump --- People can correct me if I missed a point. This song is mostly on repeat when I'm working, it's so good.
