new players who found this video, remember - *Incompetence is a choice* , not a result of balance design reject min-maxing, embrace learning mechanics, so that you wouldn't be confused about what is happening on stage and then blame for it someone/something else if there is a person up there, beating stages with lvl 1 characters, you surely don't need to limit yourself to meta-slaving do not focus on endlessly getting better operators (coz game doesn't get harder endlessly either), and do not forget to challenge yourself

I would advice new players to raising whatever they want *after* raising their strong operators first, otherwise it could cause some setbacks if they just raise what they want at the beginning of the game.

3.5 year veteran here correcting pretty much all critical mistakes, specifically for new players. 2:40 There's 4 types of damage: Physical, Arts (or Magic), Pure (or True) and Elemental. Last one atm splits into 4 types: Neural Impairment, Corrosion, Burn and Necro. 2:43 Reduces damage in different ways. Defense reduces Physical damage taken by a flat amount but can't decrease it lower than 5%. Resistance decreases Arts damage taken by percentage (50 resistance equals 50% Arts damage reduction and it can reach 100%). Arts damage ignores Defense. Pure Damage ignores both Defense and Resistance, Elemental doesn't have its counter except of Elemental healing atm. (UPD: Okay it was explained later, good) There's also some other defensive buffs but i will not include them for the sake of already large text 4:29 Slight mistake here: Lords can perform Ranged attacks with 80% of their attack, 100% while melee. Also Ayer and Frostleaf would like to have a chat with you. 5:53 Now Blitz would like to have chat with you 9:27 I know that was a meme that Phalanx does nothing but you could say that they are tanky and attacks only when their skill is up. That's a review after all and some new players might will watch that. 10:17 Nervous Impairment deals heavy True Damage on top of long stun once stacked 10:55 Memes aside, should have explained that Chain medics have pretty small range but their healing can jump between operators. In other aspects, its newbie friendly. Good video, there's your +100 reddit karma 👍🇨🇳

At least on enemies, you can't get to 100 resist, because the 5% chip damage still applies. For operators I'm not sure, but I'd assume its the same.

Ayer is broken in the five situations where you can use him properly and Frostleaf's kit is just broken in the bad way rather than the good one. Also, the _good_ Lords can cheat around the 80% modifier for ranged attacks, as a rule.

1:52 - You forgot to mention that death means an Infected will become a massive source of Originium,their bodies releasing the deathly crystals into the air,the hatred starts with fear. 4:30 - You got that backwards,they deal reduced(only 80% of their attack)damage when attacking normally at range,also,they're actually the most balance of the Guards due to being quite versatile and hard hitting. 5:25 - Crushers were an odd thing to add to the roster of the very over populated Guard class,that is for sure,but they are not bad since the only ever thing anyone would talk about was how Quartz would die...without healing...because Medics totally don't exist in the game... And for a masochist,you forgot to mention Contingency Contract,the first real pain train to slam us all. Up until Pinch Out arrives.

Quartz will die WITH healing, basic healing output is only like 150-200/second, as basically every unit has that much defense [including some high tile units], any unit that hits that fast OR hard will require an extra healer on Quartz just so she can keep up with your other low defense guards that probably out-damage her anyway. Man, crushers are the worst, if they even had the same attack rate as Dreadnoughts they could make their black hole health bars worth something. For reference, an S1 E1 Reaper that has 350 defense and heals about 100hp/second still struggles against any kind of tough enemy, Quarts just needs 2 heals just to approximate their performance and the reaper will probably do more damage because they attack twice* as fast. Ya, I like the idea, but unless your super hardcore, she's basically useless.

During certain limited banners she is technically roll-able and purchasable after 300 pulls. With proper saving and luck it's not impossible to hit even F2P.

You can play the game leisurely at your own pace. There are a lot of contents and most events become permanent here (though it takes time), so you don't have to actually catch up in speed. Just take your time and enjoy what Arknights has to offer. It took me almost a year to actually be done with the main story (before chapter 11 dropped) and that's with a lot of, I mean *a lot of* stalling, and I played the game just over a year ago. Also, that's not including permanent older side events, challenge modes, etc..

For my review as f2w player, the gacha pity not very hellish like other game I play. And they still give us some free operatorsand even give us a 6⭐ operators for free in some event also give us free hundting too. Well, it's was a common thing to feel poor and should catch up more for new player, but don't worry this not pvp game and there many guidance how to clear many stage with low operators in many platform like the video said with some generous rewards 👍
