How does the sizing run? Do i just order my normal US size?

I have read that they run on the large size, but would like to know more. There is a size table on the Arctis site, but even with that I'm not totally sure.

Why is the waist singing cord on the outside ?

They do em like that, but you can get that cord in a little hole in the laterals of the lower pockets

Depends if he wanted also be able to wear warm thick layers under in winter it would be to small.
