i really respect the way you're approaching your channel, you don't have a lot of subs but you're doing the right thing by pumping out high level content, and just as importantly, you're keeping a consistent schedule. i popped you a sub last week and have watched several of your videos on HFW since then. I'll stick with you and i hope you get the recognition you deserve one day!

Hey thank you! I reallyappreciate that! Yeah I’m definitely trying to focus on putting out high quality content. Sometimes it’s a bit discouraging to see other channels get a lot more views for lower quality videos that are more click-baity, but I just can’t bring myself to make videos like that. And I’m hoping in the long run it pays off to focus on quality over quantity. Thanks for joining the channel! I really appreciate your sub! 🙏🏼

@@ArktixOfficial Absolutely, i know how you feel. The key is to just keep at it and I'm sure you'll make it eventually. All it takes is for one of these videos to blow up, it could be any of them. I found your channel simply by searching something HFW related and halfway through the video i went to sub to you and i was completely shocked to see that you were a small channel, you have the quality of an actual top tier KZbin channel. Unfortunately KZbin is somewhat luck based but you increase your chances greatly by doing what you're already doing 💯

Tip for the greenshine: with the create job function, you can pinpoint any greenshine location you need (even slabs, it just tells you exactly there they are). Some people don’t want to do this because it kinda ruins the adventure feeling, but if you want it, it’s definitely an option.

Found you yesterday, I played horizon for about 8 hours today. You've helped show me how much more fun it can be. Can't believe how few subs you have this is top tier content. Also, side note. The sharpshooter bow called Regallad wrath is very decent and has 40% damage when shooting at long distance.

@donal o'keeffe Thank you! Yeah my channel is still pretty new, but we're growing! I'm glad you've been finding my videos helpful. That's definitely my goal! And yes, Regalla's Wraith is a great bow, but I actually saved it for my end-game video coming out soon since you get it so late into the main story. Plus you only get it if you choose the "tough guy" option with Regalla, so a lot of people don't have it.

Just about every sentence you say (and you say a lot but no, it's not too much, it's just right), is balanced against just about every factor in the game. It's very compact and informative, without giving away spoilers ... you're just the complete package ! Honestly, I have never seen any other channel that is as informative about any game, that shows the playstyle(s) you prefer and why but leaving the options for others playstyles (and also why) so easily discernable. Man ... whatever job you do in RL you're probably being underpaid because it's not just your proficiency with the game but the level of expert knowledge you provide from having researched the differences in weapons and opponents, and give to us. A real breathe of fresh air in the world of commoner KZbinrs that just want to show you "how THEY do things". You give US the choice. Absolutely well done.

Honestly, I think the Ancestor’s Return is the best Shredder Gauntlet in the game. Once upgraded to level 3 or above, if you mod it towards shock damage, you have insane shock potential. Shredders are also very economic when it comes to ammo conservation. With a full pack of 24 shredders, if you can use it perfectly, you get 96 shots off a full quiver’s worth. Back to the shock potential, though. It’s to a level that even machines resistant to shock can be put under extremely easily using it. (I’m playing on Hard at the moment if that’s any help) With a maxed out Ancestor’s Return, I’ve been able to pretty consistently no hit Apex Slaughterspines, which are extremely resistant to shock. I’ll start off by using two shock shredders at a time, aiming at weak points that aren’t the spine cannons, and within 5-6 throws, I’ll have fully shocked it. These shredders start off doing 50-60 damage per hit, and launching it into a weak point or in between armour platings will make it latch onto the machine for longer, both doing more damage and allowing for more time to pick up the other shredder coming back to me. The second throw will do around 100 damage, give or take 10-20 extra damage. The third throws really do tons of damage-I’ve seen non crit hits of 200-300 damage per hit, and that’s all stacked by how long it shreds into the machine. Of course, the fourth hit explodes the shredder, focusing mainly on the shock/tear side of the damage, with less direct impact damage-however, the explosion does a huge amount of shock. After I’ve shocked the machine, I either finish up using those two shredders I’ve thrown, or I store the second shredder and start with the spike thrower early. With the Vindicator spike thrower, I’ll use 1-2 advanced explosive spikes (only use 2 if you’ve immediately switched to the spike thrower and haven’t finished using that second shredder), before switching to drill spikes. Use one drill spike on each side of the spine cannons, making sure the second hits right before the shock wears off. These drill spikes stop the Slaughterspine from making more dangerous attacks, as the DOT on the spikes interrupts attacks and allows you more time to keep throwing those shredders in without interruption. This strategy allows for pretty consistent no hitting Apex Slaughterspines, and it’s all reliant on the insane shock buildup of the Ancestor’s Return. On top of that, you’ll find that you have tons of loot to collect from the machine if you’ve aimed at weak points, because the Ancestor’s Return nearly never destroys components. Farming with this thing is an absolute breeze. It doesn’t require valour, techniques or anything. You can just shred the machine down like nothing, and all it costs is 7 metal shards, 3 machine muscle, and 3 sparkers for 8 shredders. That’s 32 hits!
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Wow nice strategy, and thanks for sharing! I’ve been using it for shock as well, but not in combination with a spike thrower the way you described. I’ll have to try that! I probably should have mentioned the Ancenstor’s Return briefly like it did with the other legendarys. I’d consider it an end game weapon, so it will definitely be in my end game build/gear videos, but I did mention other legendarys, so I probably should have mentioned the Ancestor’s Return, too. I gotta be honest, this video was taking me a long time to finish editing late at night and I pretty much just forgot to include it 😅

I was having trouble understanding the way the weapons system in this game works. I played HZD and kinda just ran through the story since HFW was out and I had it already. I have gathered some of the weapons you talked about. And for the first time ever in a game, I understand what it means to have a “play style” and learning that has let me lean into them more. I play a lot like you, just adapatable with a mix of styles. And I always felt it was wrong cuz I wasn’t “sneaking” or “range” or whatever. Now that I understand it thanks to your videos, I have just evolved the “adapatability” play style more and made it more comfortable. Thanks for helping me enjoy this game even more. You explained things so well here. Made it easy and now I am a wrecking machine! Went and did the rebel camps before endgame just cuz you said most woukdnt haha. Love this bow!!!

Fortunately I already have most of your recommendations. I wasn’t aware of the path to get shock arrow so I’ll be doing that next. I’ve been practicing with spikes, shredders, & boltblasters following your earlier videos & these are working really well for me.

@MolassesGamer2 жыл бұрын
Nicely done. A lot of what you say gives evidence for what I've been drifting towards already but there are also some points that I hadn't considered. The tip on using the Delta with strikethrough arrows for clearing rebel camps is particularly helpful, so thank you for that. On the subject of Warrior Bows I do have a bit of a different approach. I have found the Carja's Bane very useful as a vehicle for the instant status effect coils. One approach is to load it with five different effects. This can virtually stun-lock enemies and is great for building valor quickly. My preferred setup however is the two corrosive coils (4% each) and three brittle (3%, 2%, 2%). I dodge an attack, enter concentration, spam arrows until a brittle triggers, then switch to a damage oriented weapon. The arrows for the warrior bow are very cheap to make and the instant effect coils get around all resistances. My favorite for damage against brittle machines is actually the Renegade warrior bow with improved crit chance coils. While I love overdraw on the sharpshot and hunter bows I find the warrior bows more effective when prioritizing quantity of shots over aim. For the stealth armor I prefer the Nora Tracker over the two purple ones you mentioned, just because it is easier to get the +2 for both Low Profile and Quiet Movement. When playing in the stealthy style my number one priority is staying in stealth or getting back into stealth if I've been spotted and the Nora Tracker fits that bill.
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And hey that's a really smart strategy with the Warrior Bow and instant coils. I have to admit I haven't been using Warrior Bows much, but I think I'll need to revisit them. I know they can be pretty strong, but I hadn't ever considered the particular strategy you mentioned here. Thanks for sharing that! And that's a good point about the Nora Tracker outfit too. I agree it would be best for supporting your priorities of staying in stealth/getting back into stealth. Thanks for sharing these tips!

Awesome video Arktix! This series has the best tips & tricks for HFW on KZbin. Thanks for all the research you did for this video, your recommendations are definitely the best of the Very Rare tier. I'm on my second playthrough, just finished collecting all the sub-functions & currently working on upgrading some of the weapons you mentioned. The Nora Valiant & Tenakth Skirmisher are my favorite outfits, both visually & mechanically. I do like using Valor Surges, so I give a slight edge to the Skirmisher. However, it needs some help to be on par with the balanced built-in perks that the Valiant has. I purchase & upgrade the Carja Shadow & Utaru Gravesinger outfits to unlock their weaves, Concentration +2 & Stamina Regen +2. Then I equip those on the Skirmisher to round out it's perks, basically turning it into the Valiant but with Valor Surge Master +2 & a huge shock resistance which helps when farming Slitherfangs, Tremortusks & Stormbirds for upgrades. Then I take the Deep Concentration +2 weave from the Skirmisher & add it to the Valiant. At that point, they're both viable Hunter outfits just short of the Nora Thunder Warrior. Fire arrows have definitely been nerfed from ZD, as their damage over time can't be dramatically increased like before. I only use them against machines vulnerable to fire like Dreadwings to stun/ground them, buying time for a Braced Shot, healing, etc. My current weapon loadout consists of the Marshal Hunter Bow, Seeker Hunter Bow modded with freeze coils, Delta Sharpshot modded with Stealth Damage +25 & Critical Hit Chance + coils, Elite Ropecaster modded with Draw Speed + & Reload Speed + coils, & the Relentless Boltblaster. Then I swap in & out the Wildfire Hunter Bow, Lightning Hunter Bow, Glowblast Sharpshot modded with Component Tear + coils, Corrosive Blast Sling & Adhesive Warrior Bow modded with Knockdown Power + coils to keep machines stunned while conserving resources with it's cheap ammo. Now I've just got to grab the Vindicator Spike Thrower & head to Legacy's Landfall to grab the free Thunderbolt Shredder Gauntlet. Again, thanks for the great video & congrats on the new Discord & Twitter!
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Thanks @Sonny! Those are interesting points about the Skirmisher. You have a good point that it has better shock resistance, and I like your idea to use the weaves from other outfits to make it more balanced. Like I mentioned on Discord, I’ll need to take a closer look at that while I’m playing. Thanks as always for your great comments! 🙏🏼

I personally prioritise purge water. It disables enemy element attacks and there’s also coils with increase drenched enemy damage. Purge water also increases the shock or frost build up. The only time fire is useful is when you unlock a legendary spike thrower which increases damage when a target is burning by 25%. Acid is my third choice, but I think people are sleeping on the purge water. Of all the machines in forbidden west only 5 are resistant to purge water.
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Good tips! And yes, I agree people sleep on purgewater. It’s pretty useful and I don’t think people realize how it works, which is why I’m working on a purgewater video =D They actually updated the hunting grounds tutorial description to clarify that it makes machines susceptible to any element they’re normally resistant to, so it’s not limited to just freeze and shock (although I also agree with you that those are the 2 most useful elements).
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a good point. Not too many weapons have purgewater ammo. But I think that's true for most of the elements actually. The Explosive, Cloudburst, and Corrosive Blastslings are good ones. And then you have the Purgewater Hunter Bow and Lightning Hunter Bow. Those are pretty much it. I guess there's also a ropecaster that has purgewater canisters.

I’m a completionist so pretty much took my time with the play through and did all the sides and hunting grounds in line with the main quests. I got a lot of these items early on. It wasn’t until one of the hunting grounds explained how plasma worked that I really started to use it. It can do pretty significant damage if you reach the DoT cap while your enemy is effected. Fire is pretty useless although there is an upgrade that makes Hunter arrows damaging to burning targets. Ice is definitely king in my book. It makes beating most creatures a walk in the park. Farming volatile sludge is a grind though.

I think the key thing to learn is that you should have different armor loadouts for different situations. You won't be getting Armors with enough buffs to wear all the time til very late. The key is to have an armor with strong Stealth buffs for when sneaking, one with Concentration & Stamina regens for actual combat, etc. Having a build for Stealth and one for Combat is super important & you can just swap them in as needed.

Excellent video! Almost everybody said that legendary weapons are the best option. Just because they are gold? Purple bows are really good too! I'm collecting all of them for their element. The Death Seeker's Shadow hunter bow is the best hunter bow (even without coils). You can mod this bow whatever you like it. Do you need this bow to have fun? NO! The Death Seeker's Shadow hunter bow is not for impact damage! This bow has the highest tear damage for a hunter bow. So, you can dismantle any machine parts in seconds. Speaking of purple hunter bows, I can't wait to upgrade the Sunshot Hunter Bow to level 4. Why? 65% DRAW SPEED! It's going to be a hunter bow with the speed of a warrior bow. Not the best impact damage but decent damage. My suggestion to everyone, READ THE PERKS OF YOUR WEAPONS! Create a build around those perks. Choose an outfit that helps your weapons. More important choose your style and have fun! Again, great video!👍
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Thank you and great suggestions! I agree the perks are super important to pay attention to. And the draw speed bonus is the top reason I like the Sunshot too =D And yeah, gold weapons do have higher stats and are better for many situations, but not always the best!
@jonathanrivera71222 жыл бұрын
@@ArktixOfficial Yes, I was right! The Sunshot Hunter Bow is super effective. I upgraded it to level 5 and I'm using it with 2 purple impact damage coils and 1 blue impact damage coil. It takes 1 frozen arrow and 1 advance arrow to kill any small machines. Sometimes it takes 2 advance arrows to do the job, but more than 2? No way! I tested yesterday and it worked perfectly. Also, I tested the bow with big machines after using different elements like frozen and fire and they die pretty fast considering that it's just a bow. Plus, this bow works better against corroding enemies. Thanks again!👍

Nice! Sounds like you have a pretty solid weapon loadout figured out!
@electrospud92302 жыл бұрын
The legendary weapons are not meant to be used all at once because if that is all you carried u would run out of ammo to craft their arrows since they require that annoying resource sludge. I was hoping to have all the legendary weapons max out before I finally do the final 2 missions of the main story line but having to farm high level parts from apex machines (yes I know about the ez loot option - I choose not to use it) is getting tiresome I mean why does every legendary gear NEED to have an APEX slaughter spine HEART as a final component , so I did the next best thing and upgraded all the purple gear I was using and max out just one legendary bow at hard difficulty no enemy is going to stand up to you even the final boss when using fully upgraded purple weapons so the legendary weapons are just for show or maybe for DLC?
@jonathanrivera71222 жыл бұрын
@@electrospud9230 You are right! Legendary weapons require additional material to craft ammo. I learned this the hard way with the Forgefall Sharpshot Bow. I ran out of arrows very fast.☹ Well, everything that has ADVANCE arrows of any type requires extra materials. That is why I don't use advance arrow of any type at all.

Your playstyle seems to be nearly identical to mine. I also play with a combination of Stealth, Hunter/Sharpshot Bows and a bit of Melee, and I like having several different armors to switch out depending on the situation. I can't wait to get some of the later armors to really be able to make the most use of my strats. Right now my default armor is the Utaru Whisperer for it's excellent stealth strike buffs, along with a Stealth Strike +2 Coil and Quiet Movement Coil added. Gives me excellent Valor Regen & amazing Overhealing with every single Stealth Strike, and it also allows you to do MASSIVE Stealth Strike damage when paired with the Stealth Stalker Valor Surge. You can do around 1200 damage with your Stealth Strikes with a Level 4 Stealth Strike buff and the 200% bonus damage you get w the Valor Surge. Allows you to kill all small machines & even some mid sized machines outright or at least bring them down to low health.

I have to disagree with the Deathrattle Warrior Bow suggestion. Critical Hits are a MUST on Warrior Bows, & this makes the Renegade Warrior Bow the best choice for the Purple ones w it's built in 15% Crit perk. Add at least one Crit 15% coil to it & you've got yourself one deadly Warrior bow! Also, the Crit Valor Surge is always a must with Warrior Bows, as is Freezing the machine first. I actually like using the Deathrattle for insta coils, loading it up with them & starting a fight using it, then Switching to the Renegade Bow with it's high Crit chance for actual damage once the insta chance for either Frost or Acid procs.
@ASpaceOstrich Жыл бұрын
Its weird watching these videos now that I'm in late game of my own playthrough and seeing how awkward my own weapon choices were. I had basically zero access to frost throughout the entire early to mid-game period and have pretty much only just now started using them regularly. My main source of elements has been the elemental warrior bow with access to shock, acid, and fire. I got alright at shooting canisters with it, but its affected how I play. In my head, trying to apply elements directly by shooting takes a decent amount of time and I suspect thats entirely because I'm used to the warrior bow, though I've noticed it can actually apply acid fairly quick. It'll usually get acid manually before the 4% insta corroding coil has a chance to proc. My playstyle has been a mixed bag, though throughout all of it I've been taking a ton of damage to the point where I really should have been using Carja Shadow, but never did. And I severely undervalued the concentration and weapon stamina skills on outfits for reasons I don't quite remember why. I think I'll be doing a bunch of component farming tonight to try and upgrade some of my kit.

It's funny how I started to play the HZD compared to how I started in HFW :D My first ever "playthrough" (I never completed it :D ) was a stealth/melee built (normal difficulty) but I already noticed in the first cauldron that I just have a big problem with bigger maschines. And I stopped playing after completing the Nora revenge questline in that football stadium. Over 2 years later I started a new playthrough on normal and completed it but I just went in like Rambo, which made it so much easier (after a couple dozens of death). I completed the dlc as well and instantly did a NG+ on ultra hard. And I would say the most annoying maschine were Glinthawks, the hardest was a Stormbird (or those two corrupted Rockbreaker) but the maschine I died the most from probably would be the Stalker (I hate them with passion) :D And how did I start HFW... very hard and Rambo style... No way I ever play stealth style in Horizon ever again. Well at least aside from rebel camps :D
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Lol yeah glinthawks and stalkers are definitely the most annoying machines…in both games! And that’s interesting you felt it was so much easier to play more aggressively. I have to say though, the game does reward a certain level of aggressiveness. If you want to play SUPER stealthy (like take 1 shot, then hide until the machine gives up on looking for you) then that will work, but it’s a very slow way to fight machines. Personally, I have a suspicion that a lot of people play “stealthy” because that’s they only way they’ve found they can take down tougher machines =) If people find the stealth play fun, then by all means to each their own. But personally I find playing that slow to be tedious. That’s why I hope my master machine hunting series can help some people feel more confident about taking on the machines they struggle with.
@Ri_Shin_Marco2 жыл бұрын
@@ArktixOfficial Of course your videos are a great help for those. Thanks to the valor surges they really helped those stealthy players! But I really like those different playstyles you can do in HFW. I for example enjoy the normal gameplay like I did in HZD, one shot with the sharpshotbow and then switching to the hunter bow! Then the Braced Shot/Ranged Master built or the Braced Shot/Stealth Stalker built and both play out pretty similar against big maschines. And my two favorite playstyles are : 1. Powershot/Double or Triple Notch built since it reminds me of my HZD playstyle 2. my shotgun built with the Critical Boost/Spread Blast(Boltblaster) built. I really enjoy this built and it's the main built I wanna play in a NG+ :D But those are all late or endgame builts :D And I wished I had started my run with the knowledge to go for part breaker in the early game :D I never really use the shredder gauntlet or the warrior bow and I don't know why because they are nice additions in HFW I really love the variety in choices the game gives us and it really is an improvment in all espekts to the first game. I actually went back to the first game since I noticed I missed one trophy... and while I never skip conversations in HFW I already can't stand the conversations in HZD :D It is like eye cancer... But the best change is the inventar... Oh how I hated it in HZW :D But with the same breath they made us collect even more maschine parts 🤬🤣 It annoyed me so much that I turned on easy loot halfway through the game But there is some criticism as well: 1. The clawstrider needs to be faster and I want more mounts like a stealth mount (stalker) 2. I want my long dogde back maybe in an additional skill tree in a DLC?! 3. I want Hunter Reflexes+ in a skill tree 4. Transmog function, I don't know why they don't have it :D But i did leave a Abo and look forward to more videos in the future. There might be some new for me in it as well! Keep up the good work 👍
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 😄 I agree your two favorite play styles are the most similar to HZD. I definitely gravitate towards triple and double shot right away too. I also only realized Part Breaker was good later on. But like you said, that’s what’s so cool about HFW. Just so many new things to explore, learn, and try out. I think a lot of people agree with you that the weapon upgrade resources are annoying lol. I actually kind of like the new upgrade system. It’s definitely more tedious, but it sort of forces you to have more things to do and more challenges to complete in upgrading your gear. I do understand it’s frustrating for a lot of people though. I need to use the warrior bows more myself. They can be strong, I’ve just been kind of ignoring them because I like my hunter bows 🙃 That’s a good point about the inventory being so much better in HFW! I think that might drive me crazy if I go back to HZD lol. And those are cool suggestions you have! Yeah I hope we get an expanded skill tree in DLC at some point. I would also love to see Dodge Prowess and Hunter Reflexes skills! And maybe outfit weaves too!

I literally never used rope casters! Too long of a charge up combined with too long to tie down machines. I rarely used traps and tripwires. They take too long to set up and it’s very hard to predict enemy movement beyond the initial stealth tracking and attack. As soon as they target on you they jump and run and Dodge. I honestly used traps more when trying to run it dodge enemies. Hunter and sharpshot and spikethrowers with bolt blasters were my go too. I used warrior bows in the beginning and for rare elemental effects and that melee detonator. But didn’t use them as much as hunter and sharpshot. The shredder gauntlets were cool and I wanted to use them more but that triple catch was so hard to do reliably. You can barely predict return catch and when moving and sliding and trying not to die it was very frustrating to try and do especially when you would get the third charge and miss the detonator hit! Or had to dodge which interrupts the build up.
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын

My problem with the purple/VR hunting bows is that you have to upgrade them a lot just to reach the level of the fully developed blue hunting bow: specifically, you have to draw them to at least level 3 for that. This in itself is more research and cost than dragging blue to level 4... At this point, I prefer to use sniper bows for damage and tearing, even though their arrows cost more - I spend the development cost of the purple hunting bows on their ammunition. So, apart from elemental damage, none of the hunting bows from the purple category are worth it to me, but they are also temporary or not used at all due to the ever-accelerating weapon purchases - legendary rewards for missions. The other is that the development needs of the purple stuff are much closer to those of the legendary stuff, but then I'd rather invest the energy in the legendary weapons, because they are so much better than how much more they cost to develop - in general. The last reason is that there is really only one damage dealer among them, which I like the features of, but to develop it you need greenshine, which I would rather save for developing the purple sniper bow. The animals are also taken down by the developed blue hunting bow. So, purple hunting bows are the most underutilized category for me - with one or two exceptions.
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Hmm interesting take. You're definitely right that the base level of the purple weapons is not great compared to the upper levels of blue ones. I think the real benefit comes in stronger ammo types, like advanced elemental arrows and advanced precision arrows.
@quibelezdesaporan65932 жыл бұрын
@@ArktixOfficial I didn't even deny them, but the very rare hunting bow can be skipped as a damage-dealing and component-ripping category, because the very rare Sharpshot bows are already much better than them - Advanced Precision Arrows & Tear Precision Arrows. Other weapon types are also suitable for elementalization, while rare/blue hunting bows developed to level 4 are also suitable for blowing up containers. But even with that, I accept the role of very rare hunting bows in elemental damage and I use them, but not nearly as much as their rare or legendary versions that arrive in the meantime. Here, the reason for their omission would be that the elements are very scattered among the many bows, so a lot of them would have to be developed at the same time and quite expensive in order to have a version superior to the rare/blue variants, while they could be replaced relatively quickly in the given by missions, for legendary weapons, which could be used to replace their work to bring them to the elemental state - the blue hunting bows are still suitable for blowing up containers. Also, for the elemental damage, it is already possible to acquire and upgrade other, very rare types of weapons, besides which the very rare hunting bows seem unnecessary (I don't feel so much pressure and compulsion to buy and develop the very rare hunting bows that I would waste hours anyway for collecting the ingredients, if by now I'm already full of very rare stuff and these should also be developed) - except for the electric one, I like it and to replace it with the legendary version you have to fight in the arena, you need the better stuff there. The advanced elemental hunting arrows, which would significantly increase their damage and make their development necessary, cost just as much as other types of weapons, their similarly effective ammunition. If I manage to solve the elemental status change with other types of weapons - mines, for example...; and I adapt my equipment and playstyle to it - , then why should I buy another similar one that I'm not sure I'll be able to use (for the "little" time until the legendary variant comes out)?! It's lucky that you can vary the weapons in the field, because without it, Aloy would be lost. With the amount of development costs, both in terms of time and material, I think the game developers overshot the still desirable goal in the second half of the game. Also, by moving the meaningful damage distribution to weapon techniques and Valor Surges from the third of the game. For this reason, the player is not forced to the exaggerated time-consuming developments as much as the developers wanted to achieve, and thus the acquisition of the legendary stuff can be solved even mostly with blue/rare things, which can trigger the bulk of the very rare ones. However, I really hope that in the future they will not increase the weapon categories - as a (mandatory) novelty - and that the future range will be a little more collected and even more usable in the subjective sense compared to the current one!

Here’s the thing. I got enough medals for the death seeker’s shadow bow, but looking at the stats my marshal bow deals more damage than the death seeker, even while fully upgraded. Is it worth it to buy the death seeker’s shadow?
@ArktixOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s a little weird, right? The Death Seeker does have higher tear damage though, so that’s one reason to use it over the Marshal. Another reason is it has a higher change for crits and it hits much higher damage crits. You can the crit chance with a coil or 2 to make that even better and when you do that I think it’s clearly better than the Marshal. The strong shock arrows are also really nice. But yeah I agree it’s a bit weird. Also consider that you can’t really spend your arena medals on anything else besides those arena weapons, so unless you like some of the other arena weapons you might as well head the Death-Seeker and see you how like it.

Getting the Utaru Winterweave isn't quite as straightforward as just making it to Thornmarsh... It also requires a Slaugherspine Circulator to buy it. Thus you have to hunt down & kill a Slaughterspine as well, and they don't always drop the Circulator so it may take a couple tries.

I really need to get into the habit of detonating canisters... I always forget to do that!

just set the enemy's damage to story mode when doing the MAW. it takes about 15 to minutes to grind the whole thing. then go back to whatever mode you were playing before.

I pushed hard until I got to Memorial Grove to get the legendary weapons. But next time I play through, I'll focus in these recommendations and probably have to cheese less, lol.

Haha nice! Pushing for legendaries isn’t a bad idea. But yeah I hope these suggestions help make getting there a little easier!

I'm still using the vindicator, I'm on the last mission and I have everything completed except the enduring and the last 2 arena challenges, nothing compares to the mixed stats on it, but the elemental stats are ass.

Nice! Yeah the Vindicator armor is nice, but it definitely needs some elemental resistance coils to make it balanced.

The marshal hunter bow has advanced arrows and targets arrows but what is the function of the third type of arrow in that bow?

So those are Berserker arrows and they’re basically exactly the same as corruption arrows in HZD. You can build up a “berserker” state on a machine or human and they’ll start attacking whatever is closest to them, friend or foe. Personally, I don’t really use them.
