The Horizon games are so good man the details and the world as a whole are just amazing and the combat while it could be more fleshed out with some form of blocking/parry system to help make it more viable on higher levels otherwise it's incredibly well thought out combat system focusing around weak spots and making sure you vary your gear and ammo types it's incredibly viable for nearly any style of play at any difficulty and Ultra Hard gives it that get good or die difficulty that perfectionist for this series cream over my only gripe is the DLC being PS5 exclusive and PS4 is missing out on some settings and mechanics compared to the PS5 version such as Sunwings being annoying af to fly and fairly buggy on PS4 or the auto collect feature that PS4 doesn't have so defined recommend getting a PS5 to experience it to the fullest I'm stuck on PS4 for a few months but I am on my second PS4 play through and this time going for Platinum

While I don’t think it is a Easter egg to any particular game or movie there is a Horus unit that has crashed through the Golden Gate Bridge which is a reference to monster movies where they will always destroy the Golden Gate Bridge by walking through it. There is also a storm bird that uses the bridge as a perch which could be a reference to mothman but it could also just be a perch

Hi Arktix, i tried the glitch on the Dreaded Encounter challenge and when i got to the shelter i found out that the stash was empty and the items in the inventory were in a “arena mode” where by 95% of the items in the inventory were missing. Is this normal? I did not dare to proceed when i found out that the stash was empty. P.S. Meanwhile tried there were no issues with the Grim Prospects challenge glitch. Stash and inventory were full.

So I have a question. Is there a way to stop using a valor surge if the battle ends before the surge is used up? So for example the other day I used the shield valor surge and was able defeat the machine I was fighting before it ended by a couple minutes. That was valor just wasted. Is there a way to keep that from happening and save the valor?

Honestly, I still find the green Ropecaster useful early on for roping down small machines in fights where lots of them gang up on you. This can make those fights much easier. You will of course want to upgrade to a better one when you can so you can rope down bigger machines.

I have problems with the canister explosive harpoon things. When i trigger then, they deal 0 damage literally. I try them on the ground and on the machine itself and it still doesn't work. Lets hope its not because of my 5 explosive coils

Part Breaker is super OP. You can completely strip a Thunderjaw from every weapon and part without even leaving the first concentration.

If you use the weapon weel to slow down time and dodge while it is open you pretty much can't get hit

Using the two 100% tear, sharpshot specific coils, the Delta sharpshot bow does more than double the amount of tear damage vs. any of my hunter bows, and also uses tear precision ammo. Even with 5 tear related coils, my hunter bows comparatively suck at tear, and seem best used for elemental buildup and animal hunting. What am I missing?

I gotta disagree about Stealth Strike Heal not being useful. Being able to heal damage & even Overheal essentially for free & without needing to use Potions is pretty nice. I don't bother with Low Health buffs even tho I know they can be extremely potent. I'm just not comfy being at Low Health like that, so for me the Overheal is quite nice.

What's the earliest Armor you can get that has a Stealth Strike buff or Coil? Trying to find one of these ASAP in my latest playthru!

Worth mentioning that Warrior Bows have full power even without a full draw, so you can essentially just rapid fire them to build up an Elemental status quickly, not to mention using the weapon abilities that shoot 3 and 5 arrows at a time respectively. Makes the Acid Warrior Bow a decent choice early on, even if it's not ideal compared to a Hunter Bow.

I'm surprised you have all melee followup coils on your warrior bow I don't think I saw you melee a big guy once.

My dumb ass just runs up and starts wailing away with the spear and trying to hit those fangs with a tear arrow while it's flopping around in the air. I usually manage within 12 tear arrows, lol, and then use up all my berries and first aid potions fighting it. I'm going to give this a try between the radar pulses. If I can get a tear arrow to get both fangs, I'll just collect them and haul ass and leave him flopping around and angry.

I love all these little things, weather it's silly or heartwarming it's always fun when devs add Easter eggs.

I played this Game about 400+ Hours on PS5, and yes, also on Ultra Hard. Was it fun? No! Its just a mess how all Enemys are running around on Steroids, attacking you all at once. Sure, you can beat them, but it feels very annoying. On Ultrahard the small Robots are getting very very annoying. This Game is not for competition, its just for having fun. So i start on normal, farming gear and doing quests. After that i switch to very hard, and i just have a good Time^^

Definitely good shout about the difficulty. Finished Zero Dawn on ultra hard and was expecting something similar. Boy was I wrong. Almost everything one shots you, some enemies are insane bullet sponges. Good thing you can exploit the AI and cheese a lot of more difficult fights, otherwise it would be even bigger hell than it already is.

I just wanted to ask - is there a pattern for shredder discs return trajectory? I notice you rolling towards it before it starts coming back

Can you use food to increase a skill beyond Level 4 Max, or is that just a waste?
