So I guess that game was a Prequel, Madou Monogatari has a pretty interesting nonsensical story if you try to piece everything together, but if you start trying to understand it, it makes everyone except Schezo look like the antagonist. Either way I think I was being a sarcastic douchebag about it, since it's clear from physical appearance that she's older than that, and back then I knew way less about the series than I do now.

@@RyukyuShin1997 They did do that, LMAO. If I recall correctly, in the same game, Arle goes to obtain a special "Seraphim Orb" which is magic and stuff. The owner of the orb, Lilith (Satan's wife and a whole host of other things) is like omg what are you gonna do with that! And Arle just uses the power of the orb to bring Schezo back and make everybody forget about what happened. So Schezo doesn't even have a recollection that he died, and Arle (most likely) doesn't remember killing him. Take this with a grain of salt, because I don't remember if this happened in THIS GAME exactly.

@@prizmastarz742 When I wrote this message at the time I was unaware that the art was from Puyo Puyo Quest, and when mobile games are just there, without being canon or whatever, then it's pretty much harmless, but that's interesting to know, I think the World being destroyed was something Schezo was supposed to do though not Arle or anyone else, Schezo makes a lot of that clear, just a little bit ago I thought way too much about it and I remembered that MM ARS was a prequel, which means Schezo was pulled in to the World unwillingly, potentially along with other people except Arle, Carbuncle, Rulue and Satan who already seemed to be there, at the end of MM ARS Schezo apparently escapes the mirror, but I think that happens after the World ends, after Schezo technically succeeds thanks to Arle. Schezo's name means "Man Who Defliles The Gods" and whenever he meets characters with large amounts of power, and seemingly evil power at that, he assaults them with the intent to kill them and take that power to use it against Satan and the other Gods, and if he succeeded he would have killed them all and ended that World himself, which likely would have freed him from that World and potentially everyone else too, Schezo knows other characters with large amounts of power and never attacks them with the exception of Sig who has an immensely powerful demonic left hand, the only people he ever attacks have powers like that, other people who also have large amounts of power are people he either respects or just simply doesn't attack. I know it takes place afterwards but it's clear from Puyo Puyo Tetris that Schezo only attacks character with suspicious massive powers, so only Arle, Satan and Sig, he pretty much never attacks anyone else with the intent of killing them like that, in killing Schezo here, Arle saved him but everyone else still remained so Satan's fake Worlds will never end, Schezo was always different from everyone else in the story, his personality was different, his reason for being in the World or showing up there was different, and his powers almost eclipsed everyone else's, and he's also the only character who is completely immortal. But that's my theory on it.

@@Screwy (This response gets far fetched and a bit out of hand but it's my theory on who the antagonist in these games really is, it's long so don't read it if you don't want to.) He says overthrow but I really think Schezo intends to kill Satan in this game, since Madou Monogatari ARS takes place before this game then it's safe to assume that Schezo was ripped from the real World and thrown into this one, despite Schezo's ending in MM ARS, it's clear that he doesn't actually escape that mirror he found because otherwise he shouldn't be in the other games, he's the only immortal character in the series, he's more powerful than the Gods and his only real goal is to stop evil doers and kill Satan, unlike everyone else in the series Schezo is also the only character who can pick up on how powerful someone is, the way I see it is that Schezo got pulled in, potentially went insane because he couldn't escape, and on top of this his name essentially means "Man Who Defiles The Gods." All of that makes me feel like Schezo is supposed to just kill the guys at the top to escape, and potentially save other people from it, the only two people he ever actually attacks is Arle and Sig, both of them because they have a lot of power, Sig out of the two has a power which is demonic, considering that he only ever outwardly attacks Arle, Satan and Sig, I assumed that this means they all might have this power that Schezo talks about all the time, as we can see in the other Puyo Puyo games he likes to be left alone so he might fight someone in a Puyo battle if they get on his nerves, but it's clear he doesn't mean to hurt them or kill them just drive them away, and on top of that Carbuncle really doesn't like Schezo. Most characters do dislike him because of his creepy wordings and such, and Arle gets along with him somewhat, in spite of all this Schezo intends to kill Arle and take her power even though she sticks up for him a lot, it makes me feel like Schezo knows that it's something he just has to do even if it's not necessarily something he wants to do, what that means to me is that Arle, Carbuncle, Satan and Sig are all the real enemies who are getting in the way of Schezo's goals which could save him and everyone else from being separated from their Worlds forever, he wants to leave the mirror and he's the only one who shows any kind of signs of determination to get what he wants, not a single other person displays any of these signs. As if it's not enough, he doesn't mind Lemres who is by all means a powerful warlock like Schezo is, yet not a single time does Schezo address him with any aggression, in fact he seems to respect him which isn't how he treats Arle and the other characters I just mentioned, despite how powerful Lemres must be Schezo never attacks him, he would only fight Lemres if he ever got in his way, and on top of that Schezo would not end it by killing Lemres, despite the fact that Schezo is portrayed as this antagonist, I believe that it's actually the opposite way around even if the characters themselves don't say anything about it.

Many of the characters in this game and some songs were reused for Puyo Puyo late 1992 and we weren't familiar with Puyo Puyo, so we had characters replaced with ones from The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog when Puyo Puyo came out for the west. For Sega, it was released as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. We were familiar with Sonic the Hedgehog at the time. carsfan360 No such thing as children’s game on PC98 98% (heh) is Porn, and the rest are violent. Since adults used the PC98 as a spreadsheet machine in the office, many games were adult themed.

i did say the pc98 games were the worse right? well this is why. The M rated feel for the games feels unneeded with the blood and minor gore, and really forced in this version comapred to how other versions handled it. Even the character designs have been butchered with some characters.

You wanna know something equally messed up about this whole thing too? Arle was only 4 in this game. A 4 year old decapitated someone in a tower filled with monsters that can be killed in equally gruesome ways. I hope that Arle got therapy while Compile was working on Puyo Puyo because the girl needed it.

actually she's 16 in this game! this is madou 2. she was around 4 - 6 in madou 1, with the magic tower. (not that her being older doesn't make it any less traumatizing...lol)
