He clearly struggles with communicating while he's upset. Out of respect, and avoidance, he chose to isolate himself. Was it the best thing to do? No. If he can come back from the apology and actually work on changing that behavior, he will be fine. He has a pattern of expressing anger through unhealthy means and was trying to disrupt it by pulling away. It is a major flaw that many black men have due to not having their emotions taken seriously as young men. Some men have never experienced expressing disdain and it being received positively. If he was expecting a fight, he pulled away to protect himself. Something in him felt he needed to be protected. The thing is, this type of behavior doesn't sit well with women who are more healed in the area of communication. It doesn't make logical sense, therefore they will be unequally yoked. It's best to work on the physical manifestation of this trigger and apologize ASAP (and mean it) by changing the behavior moving forward. She says an apology would have been great a week and a half ago. He waited to come on the show to actually apologize. He never fully articulated why he was upset to her. She never really knew. He just ghosted her. Most relationships would work out if people just learned to talk and listen.
