A circular walk using both sides of a stretch of the River Severn. We begin in the little Worcestershire village of Arley and after a quick explore spotting a tower and a heritage railway station we head off along the riverside to Bewdley, keeping to the side of The Severn Way we pass Trimpley Reservoir along the way. Once in Bewdley we head across the river at Bewdley Bridge and then head back to Arley on the opposite side of the river following the signs for the North Worcestershire Path, along the riverside walk we pass Victoria Bridge which carries the Severn Valley Railway line and the Elan Valley Pipeline and find some old railway bridge remains.

Thanks for sharing. Memories of many walks touching on the Severn, Arley and Bewdley. You returned from Bewdley along the North Worcester Path, but this was part of the Worcestershire Way back in 2000, our second leg from Arley to Ribbesford. The Worcester Way was shortened in 2004. All the best, Peter.

Thank you Peter, yes we saw signs for the North Worcester Way which helped me realise there would be a path on that side of the river all the way back to Arley. Thank you for watching, I'm glad this has brought back memories for you. I have visited Bewdley many times, but only ever walked from Arley to Trimley Reservoir and off into the woods before. Most of this walk was new territory for me. Really enjoyable. I hope to be back on the Severn in the morning and make a future video. All the best, Andy 👍🏻

Absolutely loved this one Andy, such a stunning area and you took beautiful footage. The train station looked so lovely and the steam train fabulous. The area seems really peaceful. Trimply Reservoir looked pretty too. So good as always 👍~ Anna

You forgot to mention that Bewdley and Arley stations and lines have been used in many film for TV productions. I can tell you that those foot paths are new, they never existed 30 years ago, Northwood lane ended at Elam pipeline and the footpath on the opposite bank never existed as we would have to ride our bikes on the road to Arely. You passed several of my friends childhood homes including one of the houses I grew up in.

I did not know the stations were used as filming locations, I'm glad you have pointed this out, Do you know some examples? I have only ever walked a short part of this once before around Trimpley Reservoir so this was a new walk for me. I really enjoyed it. I was not sure I would be able to walk back on the opposite side to the Severn Way but after consulting a map in Bewdley we went for it. I hope you enjoyed the video and it brought back good memories for you. All the best, Webby 👍

@@WebbysWalks I am not sure which paths 'did not exist' as I was walking these routes in the late 70s and early 80s, right through until 2005 when we moved abroad and they were always there then. I had a friend who lived on the mobile home place in Northwood Lane for a while. The car access stopped just beyond it, but walking didn't! Thank you for letting me relive good memories of my late mother, partner and dog, and crazy times with long lost friends.

@hogwashmcturnip8930 I'm not sure. Perhaps the tarmac bit near Bewdley is the new bit. It was all new for me on the Worcestershire Way side and from Trimpley Reservoir to Bewdley on the Severn Way side. Thank you for watching, and I'm glad the video has brought back some happy memories for you. I have been back on the Severn again today walking Highley to Upper Arley. The video will be ready in a few weeks. Great day for a walk. It started misty along the river, but it soon cleared up. All the best, Webby 👍🏻

@@WebbysWalks Glad you had a good walk. I will subscribe, so I can watch that when it is up. Saving the Stourport one for later. Trimpley was looking a bit down at heel, I thought. And I laughed at the fallen tree across the path. There used to be a fallen tree that you had to climb over when we used to walk that path. I was 'Surely that is not the Same tree? It's looking good if it is!' Can I just say I like the way you don't comment. I get put off some vids by people commenting. Showing us is enough for me. Unless the person is a natural and knows a lot about the place. Some of them are just glorified selfies 'Here's ME by a bridge. Here's ME by a canal lock. I want ro see the place, not the person with the camera. Although I am sure you are worth looking at! :))

@hogwashmcturnip8930 Thank you. I don't comment on most videos as I would rather see the views than watch someone describe them. In the few videos I do chat, I put myself in a small box in the corner and still show the views. I do not know hardly anything about the walks I do, it's all about the walk for me, I will briefly put info boards on the video for people to pause and read, It's nice learning later from comments. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. I add one per week and a webpage with pictures and the info boards to add. Maps are also available. #CheekyPlug. Thank you for your comments. 👍🏻all the best, Webby
