The way we did it 15 years ago was film us doing a step behind or a "field throw" then compare it to the mound. Once I got to the same position I went from 89 to 95 in a calendar year.

Learned a lot. Wish you had a softball version. Some of this converts - sequencing, feel, light vs heavy ball, leg and trunk action

Hey Ben, great content as always! My son has been working really hard, and he does a lot of the infinity motion in drills, but when he actually goes to pitch, he doesn’t usually get his arm all the way up like in the drill work. He’s done the lasso drill, to see where his natural arm path is, and it seems to be over the top, but he just doesn’t get there all the time in the actual pitching delivery. We’ve mainly focused on his legs and having a very solid bottom half, which has improved a lot! Do you have any suggestions on drills or ideas to help get his arm up in the actual pitching delivery? He’s still only 8, but I’m sending him to you guys as soon as he’s old enough! Thanks, Ben!

Would you say glove arm plane is an automatic indicator of where the arm plane should be? Assuming the positions in the delivery leading up to that are efficient and taken care of
@treadathletics6 ай бұрын
Not automatic since it can be manipulated so much. It can certainly be a general indicator though

Gospel!!! The absolute truth. It required less effort for me to get to 102 at the age of 29 than it did for me to get to 93 at the age of 22.

You guys are missing out not having a "course" for coaches. Take my money if you ever decide to offer something.
