Idk if this "version" was really better than the ones we saw against M.Todd, Levan & Prudnik though. Well, "better" definitely not since he has even more knowledge & experience now, but was he stronger? I'm finding it a bit hard to tell, but I don't think so. I do think he should've kept training the basics though, and probably should even now if he wants to keep competing. Bicep, cup, and definitely side pressure would help him probably more than he thinks.
@guywholovesboba43 Жыл бұрын
@@lotaryguy12 he kept training bicep, cup, and side pressure all the time before and after 2008 until he got to the point where his elbows couldn't take it which lead him getting surgery, which completely made him lose his insane elbow and bicep lock strength, which is why he doesn't train that much side pressure and hook fundamentals now
@jacobisaiballadareszelaya19845 ай бұрын
@@lotaryguy12 2010-11 was his absolute peak. And I'll take that Devon over this new Devon. Definitely at 35 years old, young healthy and as his peak strength and rank #1 was his prime. After surgery he was never the same. He reinvented himself with outside style and got another prime. But still I think young Devon would beat actual Devon.
@highfiveguy6 жыл бұрын
I love this ref's style of starting the match. He always talks quietly with no anticipation in his voice then suddenly says 'GO!' It seems really effective at preventing issues with guys hitting too early since they're both caught of guard by the start instead of the typical starts which are preceded by "reaaadddyyyy..."

that drives me nuts. it makes it more about twich/fast reactions, and less about what it's supposed to be about.. strength and style. some people literally cant react that quick, and it's skillset has nothing to do with arm wrestling in and of itself.

And back then he could hit fast with both arms too. Love his catch and bleed style but in the long run it's too hard to sustain, he burned out and needed surgeries. Now he's a different puller, he had to adapt, can't train like he used too either, lost his tight angles.

Yeah but long arms have advantages, that I don't have time to talk about, but in short most of the time the long arm has the advantage

RB26 GTR yeah and the person you’re pulling against has a bigger lever to pull on. So it cancels out.
@kodioneil73675 жыл бұрын
Part of the advantage is you get higher on your opponents hand presumably and your elbow can stay closer to your body so you’re less stretched out
