I think defaulted, the interaction key is the application key (The key that looks like a drop down menu), and the self interaction key is the Windows key. I don't have the game open right now to check, but I know that those two open interaction menus. Just don't remember which is which.

I think ACRE is the communications mod that makes using the radios a lot more interactive and realistic.

in editor on Single player, you must put down your player, then look in Faction drop-down, set that to empty, and look in Ace ammunition (Ropes) that will be the rope box

also, I have seen the tow rope. It's rather undignified, basically you can tow a smaller vehicle with a bigger vehicle, and it works like the sling rope.

You will have to patch the Game to the latest Version in order to play online. Watch the first Video in the ACE Tutorias Playlist to find out how to install ACE and ACRE

steam doesnt change the game you play. but if you are referring to the launch options so that ace starts through steam its -mod=@ACE if you have ACEX or any others just replace ACE with ACEX etc

ACE mod is required for this Fastrope Version. There also exist some scripts to do it i think.

@rickard767 You mean in Singleplayer right?? Here i used some Initline scripting and spawned at the Chopper. U can use Teamswitch to get to the lacation you want or use waypoints for the AI i guess but then you`ll need to set the altitude right otherwise the AI Pilot will fly to high for fastrope.

u need the sling rope itself and need to be outside the helo...its completely different from the actual length rope...hope this helps

Yes, what swiss said. And also I recommend you to download PlayWithSix Launcher. It has all the official mods and etc. It helps you install allot of mods. or you can just go on Arma Holic And download/install the mods yourself. Hope this helped ;)

The problem was actually that I had troops in the Bradley, it worked as explained in the video when they got out of the vehicle, it would have been awesome to fly in a whole tank platoon and they start blasting away as soon as they landed though.

Actually, it's safe to go over the max length by about 2-4 metres, as you do not take fall damage from tha altitude. So if you have an 18m rope, the pilot should hover between 10-22 metres. I'd say twenty for safety.

Set the Unit Parameters to playable and then use the T Key while in game to switch the character.

ok i did find out how the ropes work...so far with what ive used...use the uh1y venom...u will need another player for online...the only way for the ropes to deploy would be stating the obvious low altitude...so it wont work with ai...but it does work and its awesome...so it should work with the black hawk or anything of that sort

Thnx (: also I am giving this a go with a Bradly and a CH-47F but when the chopper is hovering over and the Bradly has the rope attached, it wont let me click "Attach sling rope" (Its sort of blacked out as if there was no chopper). What am I doing wrong?

These are the ones with different commands: Tab, Windows Key (Don't worry, when using ACE it wont get you out of the game and the key left of the windows key. (On some keyboards, right)

i've found out i need to press T, but just like you i wanted to attach a humvee to a chinook, when i was the ground player and attached the rope to the vehicle i couldnt hook it too the chopper because it was too high so i need to get the chopper lower and TEAM SWITCH into the choppers pilot... BUT when i press T nothing happens so i can't switch between players..

that wouldve been sweet...im working on a map that ah-64 apaches cover chinook squadrons into a hot LZ...air dropping vehicles and supplies into the area as well...so i guess u can say a full scale war again insurgents lmao...hope to have it done here soon...

I can't seem to use the slingrope, I have attached it, and have 15m rope in my inventory (I've tried it with 36 too) but the selection to hook the sling rope is greyed out, it says I need 6m of rope. What have I done wrong?

We hooked up 2 Abrahams with a tow rope and attached them together with a tow rope, we then attached one of them with the sling rope to a chinook. It was hilarious.

you can let AI fastrope by telling them to, no scripting needed. select the AI soldier or group you have command of. press 6 (action) then fastrope should be in the list. select it and they will go. so basicly ( ~all, 6action, 3fastrope.) and that should do it. altough im using a fastrope mod so not sure if it will work the same with ACE
