Me: Fails to kill 10 guys with from a stationary gunner seat of a truck. Jack: Steels APCs for fun. Can't help but feel his resistance is doing better than mine. Hell, a group of 4th graders from Colorado were able to break into a US base filled with hundreds of soldiers, and break out not one but Two POWs meant to be executed.

About not having grenades sometimes in your equipment, I also had this bug where I saved grenades to loadout but after loading it I apparently "didn't" had them. However they were present in the inventory. I haven't found the fix for it but dropping them and picking them up again from ground works fine and you can use them.

That's the exact issue and fix I had, when I equipped a loadout from the arsenal box, the grenades weren't counted as throwables till I dropped one to update them in my inventory.

tbh that rpg through the commanders hatch would kill him and the gunner leaving the driver on his own in a bust up tank so yeah, I'm off lol also it's why armour shouldn't go in built up areas with guns that have 1km ranges

12:10 It's because Ai are programmed to get out of vehicle if they lose either the wheels, tracks, and turrets regardless if other parts of the vehicle are working. You would be very surprised how easy it is.

I've learned from my playthrough currently that the back of the Bradley is super armored and can tank a couple TOWs, how do I know this? I had a bradley I stole take a resource tile, 3 enemy bradleys showed up and lobbed TOWs into my back, I took about 3 before deciding to just pop smoke and run Edit: Since they were engaging me they didn't take the resources XD

As far as I've been able to tell the RHS vehicles are extremely random on if something will actually do damage to them. I've had M1A1s take endless hits from AT launchers and not even get slightly damaged, I've disabled M1A1 turrets with a single shell, I've hit M2A3s with several Javelins for them to turn around and kill me immediately and my M2A3s always seem to get taken out in a single hit. The vehicles are really weird.

I don't know exactly how, but using the exact same method than you (shooting with and RPG at the turret) against a tank i somehow managed to destroy it. It was one of the most happiest/saddest moments in Arma so far. What's even worse, we didn't even had gear unlocked at that time, so that tank would have been a game changer

That's a real shame! Were you playing with RHS? From what I've found these vehicles are near invulnerable in one case and then if you replicate the same sort of situation they're like paper.

Did you save before you left the mission? Antistasi doesn't support normal saving, you need to use the persistent save features of the mission to carry over your progress between sessions. You don't have to apologise for your English if it's not your first language! The majority of native speakers don't know a second language, so you're way ahead of them there.

The one used in this video was the radio tower on the hill behind Negades- which is in the top left area of the map. This isn't the only outpost it will work with though, so long as the road goes sufficiently close to the ammo box to keep you undercover in your vehicle, you should be able to pull this off.

Still commenting on your videos years later. I'm learning quite a bit and recently even won my first 1 v 4 (I'm not that great at this game) I do know, as mentioned before, that there are set conditions for the AI to exit the vehicle - either when it's immobile by destroying the tracks or engine, or when it's defenseless by destroying the gun and, if it has one, the MG. So why do they immediately surrender? Well, that mostly had to do with how you were taking them out. Yes, you 'only' took out the gun, but as you saw later, you killed two soldiers inside the tank. Specifically, you killed the commander and the gunner. Antistasi logic says they suffered a morale hit from you taking the tank out of commission, from killing two soldiers, extra morale loss for taking out the CO, and from using explosives. Morale losses in quick succession cause additional morale loss. Enough to cause the survivors to immediately surrender. Which, I believe, is quite accurate to how most tank crews would surrender once their tank was out of commission and there was no infantry support nearby. It was mostly about not being able to move (you can still run away with a broken gun). You're a sitting duck at that point, waiting for someone to blow you up. Getting out of a tank is, in reality, a slow process and you can be sure guns are trained on any and all hatches. You do not fight your way out of a tank with enemies nearby. So you can't wait and you can't escape, what else can you do but surrender?

That's a pretty good summary, of course I didn't know any of that way back when this video was released because I was new to the mission. It's one of the main reasons I found attacking outposts in an armoured vehicle to be so effective, especially airbases where there was a large open space you could mow down large numbers of infantry in a short space of time. That initial point of engagement was often enough to capture the whole airbase if you start a chain reaction of surrenders.

The boxes should have quick interact options on them (default binds for this are space and middle mouse) but you can also use the scroll menu to interact with them.

I feel a bit stupid commenting on old videos because by now you may have already learnt this, but still I'll leave this here for anyone else reading it. You usually cut the parts where you loot, justifiably, because it's the most tedious task in this mission. But did you know that you can make the AI loot for you? If you make the AI embark a vehicle and then enter the Y menu and select AI Management -> Auto loot/rearm, they will loot everything and load it into the truck. If you use this same option while they're on foot, they will search for better weapons from dead enemies and equip them (I think they won't equip anything from an ammo box). Also, if an AI soldier is stuck or won't obey your orders for some reason, you can remote control them (unless you're in combat).

I generally didn't use the AI for anything in this mission as I had no end of trouble from them. No, vehicles cannot be unlocked at a maximum in any version of this mission I've played so far. Only gear in the arsenal box.

Source is a base A3 thing. It means you can use that vehicle as a mobile "source" of something like ammo, fuel or repairs. As an example, a fuel transport would have the contents of the fuel tank in the source section.

MRAP is the generic callout for the AI for anything that's a "car with a gun on top" (including things they haven't properly identified, I had a technical get called out as an MRAP in another mission file last week). I don't particularly care for being "correct" so it's easier to just get used to what the game calls things.

Well there's no way to breach the doors of a crewed but immobile vehicle, so this solves that problem. Not to mention, I'm playing on my own so there's no impact on anyone else's gameplay by deciding how I want to play the game.

The way I see it, I'm freely sharing two of my hobbies with anyone who cares to watch and I think that the important parts are how you perceive your own content (as in the identity you give to it) and that you're genuine with this. Yes. It's also cheese that the ai can accurately shoot you from 700m away through a Bush with an mp5k. It's cheesy that if you shoot at the AI from less than 500m away, you get immediately spotted even If you're concealed with a silencer. Also cheese that your AI basically don't work properly Ann's don't follow orders so you have to essentially turn into a one man army. It's also cheesy that a tank deployed as a qrf for an outpost magically drives over the hill exactly where you are looking directly at you even though you're on a hill 500m away, prone, with no line of sight, and then proceeds to fly down the hill backwards at 20 kmh crashing into rocks and bouncing around like a matchbox car on adderall all while accurately firing its machine guns to lace my squad because that's just how tanks are used, you know? There are plenty of cheesy things the game does to you that aren't necessarily "fair". But that's because it's a game. It's not real life, you have to play the game you have. And these are arma 3 problems, not problems with the mission file.
