You can't really be that creative, if you build much of anything it sort of breaks the mission because the AI can't path to you

It is quite interesting! I'm not sure a big base is possible though, in the next video I started fortifying a location a lot more and it seems like if the enemies can't path to you at the start of the round they just despawn so you would always have to start the round outside

you decided to defend the only building that they can shoot through

That's why I started putting walls up against the windows. I think it's more interesting to use whichever building you spawn in than it is to always pick the best location, makes things more random.
