Someone explained this on the forums that it would be rather boring for the 2nd man most of the time and 2 seat jets are on the way out computers have taken over most of the 2nd mans work. by 2035 its not too surprising there is no 2 seat jets

They said because the maps are small there wouldn't be much use in adding a 2 seater jet to the game. They are likely leaving modders to add 2-seaters if they wish but ultimately it would not suit the scale of the maps currently.

If you are an ARMA 3 fan its worth the buy. Bombing crosshair is still broke and locking on to targets isn't working right either like it use to. I took a break and I was messing around in showcase landing on carrier. New features are pretty cool for jets and the landing on carriers is what I was looking for in the game.

see personally it would have been nice to see some assets like ground crew vehicles and maybe we could have had like a spy/command plane or more functionality with the carrier yes i know the carrier is part of a free update but for the sake of the Cost i would have been willing to pay extra for working lifts maybe even usable pilot house onboard just to add mission effects etc just add to the emersion but apart from that the Jets are amazing great work Bohemia keep it up

The elevators are not going to happen. The Arma engine is simply not stable enough to have physical moving objects on top of other moving objects. The Nimitz mod put it in, but it was incredibly unstable. No self-respecting game developer would actually put that in the game in that state. As for cost, the Jet DLC costs about 5 Euro since it's in a pack of 4 DLC's that costs 20. Which is a very good price in my opinion.

Like the default AAF aircraft (A-143 Buzzard) they support laser (and IR Grenade) guided bombs, cluster bombs, IR-guided air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, and radar-guided air-to-air missiles, but they do not support gun or rocket pods. (If you see video of them with gun pods or rocket pods, it's due to custom scripting.)

Get a modification called "Survivable Crashes" It's on the workshop, it affects both fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. It's really cool actually, I'd definitely recommend taking a look at it.

Aircraft need to be controlled precisely. The current mouse control is something aiming to help with that if you don't have a controller, but a flight simulator is not a first person shooter. And the current mouse control for planes and helicopters IS in fact an FPS style control method. Planes are not people, damnit! I think this game could use a "set mouse as joystick for flying" option, so that we could control the angle of attack of the control surfaces directly, thus flying, actively piloting the plane instead of telling it which way to face. Mouse aim is good for aiming. Not for flight. WASD is good for walking and perhaps works on vehicles as they aren't going 800 km/h, their control doesn't require that extreme level of precision. But having to either maneuver the flying things wildly with the push of WASD keys or having to drag the mouse, pick it up, put it back down a bit afront, drag it through the desk, pick it up, put it down at the other end again, is pure pain. All that suffering because I don't have a physical controller/joystick? Come on... War Thunder has several different types of control methods and sensitivity settings for aircraft, thus it can favor pretty much everyone's needs, granted they have the patience to set it up right. But that little few megabytes game that has this control method I wish I had in Arma as well, is called *'YS Flight'.* It can also be set up in SimplePlanes. And I guess a countless others. And it can really make a difference, aircraft handle much like aircraft, except without a joystick physically being there. I wish someone in the dev team would pick up what I'm even trying to say, lol
