A: i5 Ivy Bridge 3570k; 120 gig SSD; 1tb Standard HD(for recording); 8 gigs ram; nVidia Geforce GTX 770 (I run ArmA anywhere between 20-60 FPS, on med-high settings)
Q: What do you use for recording?
A: Fraps for video and system audio; Audacity for personal audio.
Q: Why don't you play in First Person?
A: I'm a 3rd person gamer. I hate first person. It's unrealistically restricting. Please don't try to "convince" me otherwise as if I am unaware of the gaming style I prefer.
Q: Were you in the Military?
A: US Army 99-06, Radio Operator(25C). Non-Combat Veteran.
Q: Is that AI or real people?
A: If it's Wasteland or DayZ, it's real people. If it's an ArmA Mission it's AI unless I very specifically state otherwise. The 15th doesn't PvP.
Q: What ArmA mods do you use?
A: For ArmA 2 - ACE/ACRE are the core. Others include: DFS 3rd Person, Instantviewdistance, SMK Animations Lite, ST_Collision and ST_Evasive, and Blastcore WarFX. For sound: Vanilla mixed with JSRS.
For ArmA 3 - Will change often as mods are released.

The early Arma 3 days were such a fun time, I loved Patrol Ops which is a mission file rarely seen now. You would roll up, get sorted into Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, having a CO and bash out a battle plan before departing. Only mods avaliable at the time were retextures and ported arma 2 guns so pretty basic but nice nonetheless, nothing too complex. Some folks would lone wolf, the plan would go to heck and suddenly its just me and 3 guys left clawing our way home with sporadic enemy fire. I really enjoyed the times I got to be a TL.

That was pretty intense. Reminds me of an arma3 firefight I had earlier today. PvP. They kept dropping right on top of is via parachute on a 6 man squad we had. Unfortunately we ran out of frags and got overwhelmed. But was fun.

Good job combining effective fires with your buddy when the initial contact due north started. Even better job placing targets in your beaten zone as well to at the very least apply a base of suppression fire.

Even though the graphics got better and there's more variety, it still feels as clunky as the original Operation Flashpoint. The effects and sounds are pretty dreadful as well, for this day and age. Loving Squad. Whoever likes the idea of ARMA, but not really the execution and wants a multiplayer-first game design, I encourage you to try it out. I really hope that when ARMA 4 comes out, they REALLY focus on sound, visual effects and first person animations, rather than pumping out more vehicles/weapons. It's those "small" things that really lift the game up in my opinion and that's why Squad feels so much more polished than ARMA 3.

Jester814 Arma 3 was released with 1 jet. A model that was improved, but that was already used in Arma 2 and in the ACR DLC... plus, the same 3 UAVs are sprawled among all of the factions that have them. Let alone the fact that not only was the F35 and the V22 shown in previous screenshots of Arma 3, but the XM25 was also not released. Love the game though, I just thought there was so much more in store. They are patching in new vehicles like the new AAF ones and they said that they are going to put in new jets for Opfor and Blufor, they said they are entirely new models. I'm sure Bohemia will make up for it, but in my opinion, their launch was a failure.

Nice fire fight! Some friends talked me into buying BF4 while it was half off recently. It's beautiful. I like being able to cut fence and stealth kills in CQB. I love the dynamic water, especially when a town gets flooded or a storm rolls in and smooth sailing turns into the storm of the century. Did I mention it's beautiful? And yet that's all it is... run and gun with little teamwork or tactics. Why can't someone design a game that looks like BF4 but plays like A3?!? Why isn't TvT more popular on A3? Why do the Arma AI still act like brain dead zombies, unless they need to shoot you from 500m away? ~sigh~

You don't really need friends to play this bro, you'll make more than enough after spending some time on a good tactical server! You can get solid squad play without having to need to make a squad prior. ;p

Go to the website and check the system requirements for it, then look for 1 of the sites that sells Computer/Laptop cases and find the parts (or better) for cheap on ebay, new egg, amazon, etc and Make 1, be careful u get all correct drivers and each part is compatible with other parts (and it's possibly upgradeable in the future) and there ya go :D have fun u can make a good one for well under $600-$500

***** DayZ is too easy to build to use for the PS4 Arma 3 would never go onto consoles ever. DayZ is it's own game and therefore can work for either PC or Console.
