10:10 - Watching the OpFor swarm out of the forest is downright terrifying, and it seems like a _miracle_ that only 4 were killed. Great hindsight, and I got a kick out of the team member descriptions.

I know that this type of video takes much more time and effort, but (from a selfish viewer's standpoint) they are well worth it. : ] It's good to see that things seem to be still going well for you. Regards.

Fun video. MG Bait loaded his earlier and his last stand on the beach is epic... plus comments once he's finally killed and the group of the dead watches the final boat rescue. Really excellent stuff from your group of players. You guys all have a great attitude for the game.

Like I said in the Mission vid. "Once a Marine, always a Marine. You learn to follow orders until you under the circumstances must belay the orders given to fit the scenario. Not by chance, but by training. Medal of Honor recipients follows orders to a "T" until a moment that requires immediate action on their part to influence a positive outcome from a deadly situation for their comrades. That kind of mindset can also be used today in society, instead of the "Me" mindset we have today. We are all in this together, and it will take a great Team to get us through it. Even though this is a Game, One can learn from its RL lessons. Thank You Dslyexi for your quality videos and ShackTac crew teamwork.

Just want to say, this series is so good, im suprised it hasnt been done more (or by other creators). We all love stories and arma is one of the best games to tell these, and doing it in this format works particularly well.

Strange comparison. I'm taking my driver's license now. Sometimes the ligth will go to red while I'm in the middle of crossing. The teacher always tells me to complete the motion, if I already started it while the light was green or yellow. In most instances, you finish the movement, and then pay attention to other stuff. In short, if you're in the middle of something, it's usually safer to finish the thing, before paying attention to other stuff.

Man that was a pretty impossible situation as there really wasn't much that could have been differently as the frog and foliage prevented effective overwatch and the zombie hoard with guns seemed pretty tough... the only thing I think that could have improved the situation would have been leaving the Automatic riflemen behind to increase fire superiority plus having the remaining element left on the beach buddy bound into the water as rounds would have had less of a penetrative effect and maybe by swimming away the enemy would lose LOS in the fog...idk I'm just playing arm chair general Regardless this is really high quality content Dslyecxi and I really enjoy these breakdowns, keep it up!

My opinion: Should've turned around all (or at least one) bravo boat(s) to give covering as fast as possible, not disengage first. That is what i would've done anyway. More firepower + an ability for people on the beach to mount on the boats under covering fire.
@dslyecxi3 жыл бұрын
There's a very real chance that I'd be making a Hindsight video of that scenario talking about how turning around a loaded boat to shoot at the shore was needlessly risky and got more people killed/wounded than sending single-crewed boats back.
@ReverendTed3 жыл бұрын
@@dslyecxi A good lesson for life in general - it's easy to look back and fixate on the "best possible outcome" for an option you didn't choose, while you're living with the consequences of the one you did, not fully appreciating that the other path could itself have played out more than one way. They say hindsight is 20-20, but it's often through rose-tinted glasses.

I would love to see speedrunners, with all their skill in using physics and other bugs to their advantage, try and find a way to weaponize those Arma moments like the boat getting launched out of the water at mach 1. Watching a mission play out as a rube goldberg machine of carefully exploited spaghetti code would be hilarious if somebody could figure out how to control the kraken that is the Arma physics engine reliably
@texmechs49613 жыл бұрын
Of course in hindsight, boats 1&2 could have shifted left and created overlaping lanes of fire to take care of your left flank ........maybe?
