I've been looking for vids like this for a while. Would love to have this kind of play on a PVP setting. Sometimes the auto locking and super hightech play get boring. Gonna come back and study this video. Thanks!

if you're using a grid as the method of locaiton you dont need to give the distance from you to the target, its redundant and just a mix of polar and grid missions also you're meant to split up the transmisison into 3, with the FDC reading back each one for example Echo 9-5 this is Echo 9-1 Adjust fire, over [FDC Readback] Grid 1234 5678 elivaiton 10, direction 3400 (mils) [FDC Readback] 1 squad 2 APCs in the open, danger close [FDC Readback] the first transmission just means that the FDC knows whos talking and which type of mission they are doing so they can write it down easier 2nd transmission lets them get the location of the target, and the direction from you to the target for the adjustments (just note ive not tried adjust fire with grid missions so the 2nd transmission could be slightly innacurate 3rd transmission lets the FDC know what they are hitting and any remarks, restrictions or methods of fire control there may be, ive said danger close because the target is less than 700m which is the standard danger close for all ground fire, except naval fire which is 750m also with adjust fire missions, you only send 1 round, if you miss it you can ask for a repeat, but they only send 1 round because you arent trying to destroy the target, you are trying to make sure the rounds are on the target, once they are you call for fire for effect also iirc equator isnt a thing, you need to tell them add, drop, left or right with adjusting, then the distance you want to adjust by, e.g. right 100

I’m a 13J aka brains of field artillery everything was done correctly aside from the observer calling for a spotting round which is usually one round usually to walk your howitzers on target but instead of it being one round you called for a ffe (fire for affect) which is when your howitzers is on target but aside from that it was done pretty realistic

what happened to breaking up CFF into 3 transmissions? it was said all at once.

You are either a fake red leg, or your memory is shot… 6 element of call for fire… no other way accepted in the US Army, and in the late 80’s, with the advent of the GLLD, first time FFE was the norm…in combat, the last think you want is a warning shot to let the fillers get under cover, full spread DPICM FFE over…

I’m a fister and you must be one dumb Juliet to think this was done relatively realistic

I remember when it was called 13F and what about the MTO from the FDC? This was great for a milsim game but not entirely accurate.

Is it not 13F anymore? And also didn’t hear splash when rounds were on the way. But cool video

I was a 13E fire direction specialist. We never needed the range, just the grid. We got the range and deflection from the firing chart fusing the RDP.

if He is firing a polar mission so you need the range and direction from his grid to the target to make corrections. idk why he is using degrees when an FO uses mills

I know you're American and don't do decimal but, 3.5m (11' 6") tall? Those guys should be easy to hit :D Cool video though I dunno how your calcs worked out with that error.

Yes us americans dont often us meters but mils stands for milliradians not meters. 😂 Which is a measurement within the scope/ binoculars. Players in game are 1.8 meters tall knowing that we can take 1800 ÷ by the hight of the player in milliradians and that gives you the range.

What does equator mean? And when you said 50 are you telling the gunner to adjust fire 50 meters

You need to study the 6 elements of “call for fire”
@ecoliesrein7905 ай бұрын
Yeah, maybe in real life that works, but this is a video game okay.So you need all this stuff.Because it's a video game, not everything is always a 100% accurate to it because we're not talking about real life.And he's not going off and saying I'm a real operator and this is how you're supposed to do it.Going this is how we do it on our server.So once again it's a video game. Is meaning Is simulating reality not physically emulating it.😂😂

Why no use mils or altitude during WARNO transmission? 4 rounds for an adjust fire? Otherwise looks good.
@Buddyspike11 Жыл бұрын
We did use mils but moved away from it for simplification purposes. As far as altitude There's just no reliable method in game currently to measure altitude.

@@Buddyspike11I spent 4 hours trying to figure a way to calculate this. I have SOME luck. I just have to punch a few numbers and then I should have a formula.

Hey so my protractor doesn't work (it goes to center of screen but doesn't move, I've tried framing up my map to where the center point if the screen is where I need the protractor to be but it never worked right for me like that.) so what I'm asking is, how would you do what you just did without a protractor?

I remember we used arma 2 as a training exercise and it was a total shit show. We were patrolling with pistols for whatever reason and i found a crate with every weapon in the game in it. I grabbed a law and shot my friend with it and completely dicked around the whole time and nobody had any idea it was me causing the chaos. I gave everyone rpgs and we were blowing eachother up and our command was PISSED lol good times.

Or just not net up shop in an obvious location. An island like that is the most common place I'd recon for activity. Then again, the enemy may expect that. I assume it's at least a short hike to where the road is near the mountain. Can't remember the town name...
