i really like how this game is realistic but still very accessible, even has 3rd person camera view, visibility is great and you can zoom in ... when you compare it to squad where you cant see anything and pixel sized enemies are firing you from who knows where

from a realism perspective, squad is much more real. You often get tunnel visioned in live combat scenarios. Arma I would actually argue is almost an arcade shooter. In a FPs game a fov of 104-120 is nice, but in reality, when you're being shot at, I swear your irl FOV becomes like 30. It's almost claustrophobic how you feel when there are live rounds only a foot overhead.

Arma is better than squad because you can hear the other team. I once asked a Squad dev why you cant hear the other team and they said "its unrealistic. In a real war you wont understand them" whatever that means

@@5uhDude Where did you hear the one year support thing? I was under the impression A4 was a little ways off and this will basically be the testing ground for it's engine and potentially controversial changes. If that's the case. I don't see any reason to only give it a year of updates.

I believe it was in the live stream but everyone has been telling me only 1 year of support. Arma 4 is certainly more than a year away but I think this is just a way for them to make sure arma 4 is great and also a way to give modders early modding tools so that Arma 4 has lots of mods a launch.

Wait a few more weeks or a month and hopefully the issues should be fixed but right now the servers are on the brink of death, it's really hard to get into a a game and even when you get into a game there is a 99% chance you will be disconnected.
