@@warthundercanblunder850 It's the part where he uses an enemy uniform as a disguise that is the war crime. It's called Perfidity. Some German soldiers tried doing that during WW2 to conduct sabotage behind enemy lines, and they were executed for war crimes when they were captured.

This game has so much potential. I love how dark the nights are. It's nice for a game to take darkness seriously. It would be amazing if stamina was re-worked a bit and give the players movement inertia like escape from tarkov or squad. Me and my mate were in a BTR-70 We ran out of ammo, and the enemy had no more explosives. We just sat there chatting while they waited for explosives to be transported to the base. We also made sure they never showed

I remember my first time playing arma reforger smoking 4 full jeeps worth of people, they were shooting 50cal at me and i was just shooting at the windows, reloading and running. it was like 6 months ago. I ended up losing to 2 dudes because i run out of bandages and ammo(i had 10 mags😂) and tried using 50cal but it didn't seemed to do any damage

Soviet doctrine was to have the default range on rifles set at 400m and to aim at the belt line so that the bullet would either hit the chest or head. + the average distance for engagement in war happens between 300-400m (with Carbines & Assault Rifles)

@Valter Marinkovic I doubt it. Give it a few months and modders will have the arma 3 maps and what not loaded into the reforger engine. The idea of them releasing arma reforger was basically so that we could get a look at the engine and report problems while also giving the code to modders so that they could get to work on it.

Really nice to see a more silly and casual style of game being enjoyed in the ArmA franchise. I've always been a fan of making silly custom maps for me and my friends to duke it out in, like Takistani Death Races and James Bond Arenas, so seeing the amount of wacky energy being introduced into a core game offering warms my heart. An ArmA package that can appeal to casual and coordinated gameplay, now that's what I've been waiting for. Reforger seems to be doing better and better every time I come back to it (even though the network issues still need a good amount of work done).

Good for short term player engagement. Will not hold as long as Arma 3 in the long run. If you commercialize a niche franchise you do it wrong. Bohemia would regret it down the road. Short term gains vs reputation. Reputation always wins.

@@moxopixel you should probably check out the modding tools before saying it's more niche.... they've literally given us everything to make anything a person can dream of with. vanilla Arma servers are what's niche. give the community a month or two to get used to the new systems and start to turn out mods and an update or two of core game content before writing it off. or just be a hipster and hate anything new I guess, up to you. seems like early access isn't really your thing though. might want to go back and check out arma 3 in it's earliest alpha states before comparing it's finished but state to this early access state. they've already fixed so many of the insufferable little issues from 3. all they need to do is add in details that won't be hard to add after core gameplay requirements and servers are dialed in. be just a bit patient

pro tip, the markings on the bottom left of the SVD optic are range finders, standing enemy from foot to head is within those marks.

I use this all the time in both Reforger and Dayz I like the increased zoom on the USA sniper but the SVD range finder actually helps you get that shot off quicker as you know what range to zero in at.

AKs being ranged at 440m by default is what they are supposed to be. Russian manual tells the shooter to aim at the beltline with that setting. That will net you CNS hits.

Falling through terrain has been an issue on DayZ since the switch to Enfusion. Granted, it's rare... Happened to me may 4 times in 1500 hours.

The reason all the soviet guns are ranged to 440 by default is because soviets are trained to hit the belt area and so by having the guns ranged to 440m means they hit between the belt and the head
