If you don't like this, you don't like true country music. Thank you AK for posting these lesser known country classics.

Great country song. Young people ought to listen to this to learn how real country music is played. As you listen try and hear what the background singers are doing. It's fantastic! The Words are as follows: "The Bottle's Empty I know, And I guess it's time to go. Please let me stay here for just a while. I won't bother anyone, They can go on having fun, I'm tired of walking and thinking and draaanking alone. (Chorus): "I've been up and down the street, and no one can I find, that will pay me any mind. It doesn't matter who I meet, not a smile just rushin' feet, I'm tired of walking and thinking and draaaanking alone. Just passin' my time between heartaches". "I watch the clock on the wall, the hands don't seem to move at all. Ole' Father Time won't even glance my way. In your life the time stands still, Where there's a way there's a will, I'm tired of walking and thinking and draaaanking again" (repeat Chorus). The End

@Robert Berry Thanks for the memories. Morrie Shapiro's Blue Room in La Puente where Eddie played had a sister Club Mainger a ways down Valley Blvd. in El Monte. The house band there was led by Dick Miller who wrote this song. Most of Dick's recordings were released on the Toppa label and sounds like the usual Toppa musicians on this Eddie Drake cut including Ralph Mooney on steel. Eddie also had some excellent records on Toppa too.
