I've been an RN x 44 years, and a CCU nurse for 24 yrs. I found this to be excellent, concise, and easy to understand. So why the thumbs down? Obviously, these are not medical professionals doing this. Thank you so much for this, great as a teaching tool!

EDV is not the blood that enters the ventricles since ESV is always above 0, so there is always blood left in the ventricles at end of ventricular systole. You never empty the ventricles completely. So EDV is ESV + the blood volume that enters the ventricles.

I have an important doubt, pre load would be the total of blood on the ventricle after diastole OR the total of blood coming from the atrium, like the video says, because then we would have to add the blood left on the ventricle that wasn’t ejected, especially on aortic estenosis

your body tries to maintain a constant cardiac output because it needs a certain amount of blood to function( 4-6 litres). So if one of the factors of the equation changes, your body will chnage the other to maintain cardiac output.
