I had bacterial meningitis as an infant. I did die, but they were able to resuscitate me. I did have issues growing up. Almost completely dead in my left ear, had multiple surgeries to regain my hearing. The said I wouldn’t grow or thrive ever. But I did grow a little, Lol. I’m only 5ft! I was also told I wouldn’t have children and I have two now at 32 years old. I am also perfectly normal aside from my lovely mental illnesses. I beat the odds that doctors stacked against me. 🙌🏼

my father last year passed away due to bacterial meningitis; from this video I can understand that the cause was ear. he had an ear infection which caused him this. We all should always care of small things of us and people around us.

It also surrounds the spine. I had surgery to trim a bulging disk and a week later my incision ruptured and spinal fluid started leaking out. By the time I got back to the hospital were I had the surgery (it was 4 hours away because I live in a rural area) I was sure my hair was melting because clearly my brain was on fire and super heating my skull which was causing my hair to melt!! I was obviously delirious as my hair was just damp because I was sweating due to fever. I normally would recognize that leaking clear fluid from my incision was very bad but by then I was already so impaired I didnt even think about it. I spent 3 weeks in the traumatic brain injury unit at Stanford and a week on the regular ward. My heart stopped 3 times but I made a complete recovery, I lost the disk entirely to the infection but my body replaced it with scar tissue and I still consider the back surgery a success, hardest thing I've ever had to fight through but it's been more than ten years and at almost 60 I'm stronger than I've ever been. It motivated me to lose weight and get in shape rather than be disabled for the rest of my life. So there's lots of ways you can get it believe me!!

I think getting scientific and medical knowledge is no longer bound to the fact that you have to go to the medical school or to college to get it or learn it, because if you are willing you can learn so much outside of the official educational circles.

Thank you for the information. How about if a person suffering from menigitis getting paracetamol and the pain is still going on and on,do you have any medication to give him?
@pffa96754 жыл бұрын
No, quick resolution through benzylpenicillin or 3rd gen cephalosporins is the best treatment. Corticosteroids for inflammation and pain are controversial in that they will reduce inflammation by reducing permeability of neutrophils through the BBB, but also impede antibiotic penetration into the csf

Idea copied from 30yr old Infomercials? A distractive, goofy way to learn. Turbo-speed Cartoons by detached limbs. No wonder the quality of folks' health, along with healthcare is sinking to record lows. Statistically, eh.
