The more you listen and pay attention to all details you realize at the end of the day, in the mainstream, there is not much between them (Profumo vs Parfum) Profumo is legendary. ADG is iconic. Profundo works well in the spring and summer in particular during the day. Profumo can be taken into the autumn and winter (milder days) as well, and during the evenings all across the board.

I love the incense note in Profumo, it’s my favorite part of the fragrance. Sad that it’s toned down here. I’ll check it out but I don’t have high hopes. Great video Ash! 🤘

I was so disappointed with Parfum, when it was touted as a replacement for Profumo. Nope. It doesn't smell quite the same, nor is it an upgrade. No excitement. Just felt soulless.

Parfum is neutered. People who love it never really appreciated Profumo. Profumo is a contrast of freshness and darkness. Parfum has lost most of the darkness and is now just a basic, average freshie. I personally hate Profondo as well so there is nothing left in this line for me. Since they are charging niche prices now I'll just find something niche to replace it.

Whew. Absolutely love this aqua di gio, was a HUUUUUUGE ADG EDT Fan, And this and Profumo just give me that amazing clean soapy aquatic feel. So refreshing and brings back so many memories. If they ever make a ADG Elixir…. I hope it’s a BEYOND beast mode version of their all time classic EDT

Appreciate the review Ash. Definitely seems like there are quality control issues with a lot of atomizers these days. I wonder if atomizer manufacturers just cheaped out on the ball-and-spring mechanism recently to keep from raising prices? 🤔 Some of the older refillable bottles from Azzaro and even Zara work perfectly fine.

I got the Parfum for only $127 in the Ph. Toned down the smokey inscence and make it more sweeter. That's how i smell it. Super versatile for me.

Was able to get myself a 125ml bottle of Profumo for about 100 Euros before they really started going off the market. This new parfum is selling for 160, so if you like the scent and manage to find yourself a cheaper bottle of Profumo, don't hesitate!

The CVS near my office has a huge fragrance section. It’s behind the counter so hard to tell what they have but I noticed they had a huge Profumo stock. $89 for 2.5… not a bad price. I was patient and waited for coupons they send on the app weekly. One by one I got 9 bottles ! Didn’t pay more than $45 for any 😂. Yesterday got the last bottle , a candy bar and a bag of chips for $43 bucks !!

Got a sample of AdG Parfum. I am not blown away and I didn't expect to be. I love Profondo and especially the aquatic notes in it. Makes it really special. To me it feels like that's been a bit toned down and there's something in there that reminds me of Tom Ford's Costa Azurra. Bit of the driftwood perhaps? Sometimes I'm in the mood for it, but the mood wears off. I don't know, got Loewe's 7 Cobalt ahead of it on my list.

Parfum is better than EDT and EDP, but I love the heavy incense note in Profumo. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think the Parfum is closer to a simplified Essenza than it is to Profumo. Grabbed my 125ml of Profumo for about $100, glad I did it when I did. At the price of Parfum, I'd just grab another niche fragrance or some clones instead.

I think the new parfum is awesome. I also love profumo but I'm fine with the new one. I also think the new one and profumo smell so close alike. I don't understand why people wouldn't like it. Read the notes on both of click on it same notes they just turned down the incense

The new ADG atomizers with the non magnetic cap are just terrible. I have yet to get one that didn’t feel broken, squeak, or leak. ADG needs to stop cheaping out and take notes from Dior on atomizers.

I had a nasty leakage issue with a 125ml ADG Profumo bottle (October 2022 batch) I used pliers and carefully applied some pressure going all the way around the collar. The bottle now has some unsightly scuffs around the collar, but it hasn't leaked since.

Yes it's not just you, and it's not a new issue just with this new flanker. I got the Profumo about 2 years ago from Notino Germany, and I had to return that 1st bottle requesting a replacement because it came with a leakage. Ring around the atomizer came wet, and even if drying it up it would wet again after any spraying. The replacement fortunately was ok.

I had the same leaky bottle issue with my Savauge EDT, which is also refillable. So I think it’s 💯 due to the refillable bottle design.

For a parfum concentration this feels way too wet like water when applied. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I do like it ,with a slight ,but…… it was gifted to me and I’m glad that I personally didn’t over pay for it.✅ certainly it’s a very pleasant fragrance that’s over hyped and over priced and I’m proud to have it in my collection.

I wish they would continue making the 2023 and 2024 versions, i think Morrias really made a banger with the first version and people were just so mad they discontinued profumo that they didnt see the masterpiece that the 2023 version is. Just got the new 2024 version and its amazing, but immediately bought another 4.2 of the 2023 because for me, i can smell the 2023 a little longer on myself because of the "freshness" or "fizziness" of it that profumo and the new version dont have to my nose. I love them both but ill be sad when i cant buy the 2023 version anymore because that thing was an amazing change to the profumo dna. Not that it was that big of a change anyways. Either way Morrias doesnt mess up and he def had something going with the 2023 version no matter how much hate it got. Best way to describe the differences for me is the 2023 was more fizzy while profumo and 2024 version parfum are more balsamic.

All refillable fragrance bottles will have problems of leaking and most important EVAPORATION; these bottles are not airtight because the atomizer is not crimped on. Imaging spending hundrends on a fragrance that will just evaporates completely in 1/2 years max. It is the same thing as the little samples atomizer that will just let everything evaporate and leave thing completely bone dry. People who have a big collection of both designer and niche NEED to be AWARE of this.

I’m gonna be honest the only difference is in the opening, the dry down is almost identical, in a blind smell test almost impossible to discern. Save your money guys and just the parfum, let profumo die off and don’t give your money to people benefiting from FOMO anxiety.

Tested the Parfum at Sephora. It is drastically worse than Profumo. It isn't a replacement or even in the same Universe. I'll have to stock up on Profumo. Every reviewer hyping the Parfum is full of it. It's a terrible replacement.

The Profumo is also a parfum concentration. So nothing really new with the Parfum. Slightly differences (a few notes) in the scent, but for most part, the same. The NEW Parfum is smoother, a little bit better blended. Right now too expensive fot what it is.

So I guess I'm a newb scent guy (at 44yo 😂) but I've only ever used ADG EDT for the last 23 years. I always understood the difference between EDT, EDP, P were just the strength/lasting power and I only ever knew of the EDT version of ADG but I've always wanted a stronger version. That lead me to this vid today. I thought "wow a parfum version exists??" Now this vid has me questioning everything. Are these diff ADG versions actually different fragrances entirely?
