Cool technical video of a last resort escape. I loved the last line, "If you screw this up, be prepared to yell tap and verbally tap, cause you may get your arm popped."

This is the most detailed breakdown of this escape i've seen. Keep em commin!!

GOOOD SChtuff! I have used this technique as most others have forgotten it. That shoulder roll makes all the difference in the world. Thanks Jeremy and looking forward to your next visit to Melbourne~From your BTT friends!

This is a much better video than the one on Stephan Kesting's channel. Stephan brought on a guy who is probably a great guy but spent over sixteen minutes using five-dollar words to explain this technique. The Great Grappling guy explains it in plain English. I love it.

Very detailed, but prone to shoulder dislocation and arm break.

I totally, 100% agree. This is a last line of defense and you should be prepared to say tap as the pressure will come on quickly.

Robson Moura counter this technique by hooking he`s foot behind your neck and switching the hold on your arm to under he`s armpit to tighten the armbar basically no escape from that one.

Best arm bar defense is a gun, or a knife, or biting a chunk out of the leg, or attacking the groin. Oh, sorry, forgot you guys only train on safe mats with first aid kits around with real world moves banned from use. ;)

Chris D I think you’re forgetting that this is a sport. Yes it can be useful in real life, but they’re demonstrating a defense that one would encounter in a competition or rolling or something like that. Obviously in real life a weapon is better, but most people also don’t know how to do an armbar anyway.
