I don't know if people realize it, I haven't heard anyone mention it yet anyways, but when Kai and the Spartan III's got on the ship and they said that the Covenant were waiting for them, adapted from the first time, or whatever the dialog was, must have been referring to when Chief and his crew flew to the Covenant ship in Combat Evolved (or whatever game or movie it was from, maybe Halo Wars, I forget). But anyways, a few episodes back, while Perez was training for the mission, I noticed that. It was a really good call back to that lore, and pretty well done in my opinion. And by the way, good call on calling out Guilty Spark as the voice Chief was talking to. The whole time I was questioning if it were the Gravemind in some different evolution made for the show I guess. It made more sense when I finally figured it out. Your reaction was quite different than mine when I saw Kai sacrifice herself. I vocally cursed her out. F you, wtf, f you Kai, I can't believe this shhhh. In the end though, it seems to make sense that 117 will continue this journey as the last Spartan and begin to unravel the Halo mysteries in what I hope to be another, upon another Halo series. Thanks for the awesome content, hope to see you in the future.

Angry Joe ... is a moron fanboy ... who does not know the actual Halo lore .. but is an expert with his BS fanfic & head canon. The Halo & Ark ... reset the Galaxy ... to defeat the Flood ... seeding new life ( including Humans & Covenant species) on various planets with ... PORTALS. And ... the Librarian implant genesongs in Master Chief .. and other key People ... to help them defeat the Flood. But Master Chief of Blue Team (timeline) failed thousands of years ago, he died and the Galaxy was reset ... with a revised genesong implanted in various bloods ... to TRY again.

For someone who truly loves the games, i really love this Show. And even though Season 1, was quite a mess it was still alright and with Season 2 it got way better. So, hopefully we are getting Season 3 soon. I get it that some people may not enjoy the show if they are Hard Core Fans, but like why keep Uploading Reaction Vids just to complain how bad the Show is, ect. Ugh, we get it you hate the show. How about Move on and stop watch it? Like no one is forcing you to freaking watch it, if you hate it soo much..ugh..

Exactly why would i want to watch a show that’s copies exactly every detail from the games, I’d just play the games hahhaha. I love this show, season 2 was so good enjoyed the story and it’s something different so you know we can be surprised of what happens next, it’s a halo show it has halo lore it’s just portrayed differently from the books and the games to keep it fresh and plus chief needs to take his armour off as it’s character building which is what is needed for a tv show

THIS THIS THIS! I can't process why folks would want a mere 1:1 REPEAT. I mean it's great of course but I'm glad to gave variations so I can enjoy a new experience that's still HALO! Even better because it's live action on top of that! I'll NEVER understand purist who needs IPs to stay 1:1 no matter which medium they're going to! Being on the edge because I didn't know exactly what was going to play out was PERFECT versus "Oh, this is going to be where (fill in the blank) happens"!

Bookreaders believed on they know the lore & canon and criticized the Showrunners for not including everything .. even though the Show was to be 10 seasons with 10 episodes per season for entire book series. BTW. GRRM .. does have final say with the Shows ... because he's knows how to negotiate contracts having worked as a TV writer for years. Every episode had to be approved by GRRM ... even the shitty Season 7 & 8 ... because GRRM didn't want his books ruined by spoilers ... like the Azor Ahai ... is the three Heads of the Dragon ( Daeny, Jon & Tyrion). 343 Industries along with Microsoft executives .. are heaving involved with the Halo series .. preparing the lore ... for ending the Blue (game) timeline. Game Master Chief died thousands of years ago. The Galaxy has been reset ... multiple times by the Halos & Ark .... and the coin toss tells us how many.

This show is amazing. After GoT, i didn't feel this hype, so emotional. This is the best show on tv right now. I just hope that next season, they can all reunite, and Miranda needs to be saved. Also, I hope Perez stops being a spartan bc she is not a soldier. She is too good for that. Being chief moral compass is her thing. That scene with the coin shows the impact she has on him, making him more human, too. That makes Chief even more fricking amazing. I love this show!

When Chief says he knows what the arbiter said, I don’t think Cortana was translating. I think Chief just knew because he’s been asking himself that same question all season. What is a soldier when he can no longer fight? Why do you fight? Maybe a little of that thing with the coin toss, as well. He just knew.

I want to see how Chief and Makee reaction if Kwan is a blessed one but hidden. I used to get annoyed by Kwan, but now im beginning to like her story. Hopeful for S3. 😊

I wanted Kwan to tough the keystone in Season 1 ... when MC showed it to Soren. At the moment it only appear that MC & Makee can activate the Halos .. and she wants to end all the war and start again. But the Galaxy has already been reset 11 ( coin toss) times.

The flood reminds me of the last of us. How it infects by spores and physical contact. Their mutations and the tendrils coming from their orifices. It's interesting.

The Master Chief is just such a great hero. The fact this show has so many people at odds with each other about who The Chief is and how well the show is portraying him, despite what side you're on the mere concept of him just lands no matter what.

I don't know the halo story from the games. From this perspective I found the show confusing at times from season 1 to season 2. The show is going too fast and not enough back story and explanation behind everything just tiny mysterious hints like from Kwan. I think that is a problem with show. For example the flood device they first thing they found opening the portal. So random. The flood device had no idea what it was until it unfolded. Barely knew about the intentions of the covenant and why. Though I liked most of the episode since I didn't feel it needed to be like halo.

So you completely ignored ... the ancient artifacts & portals on planets with LIFE ... and a really big round artifact called a Halo that can kill Human & Covenant LIFE ... and the DEAD ancient in an underground city laboratory with a sample of the Flood spore that feeds on LIFE ... and Kwan's vision quest on Madrigal .. where she was told she is a "Protector" of the portals ... and .. we see the robot ( Monitor) speaking to Kwan's ancestor thousands of years ago. We just saw Kwan be save from the Flood .. controlled by a Beast .. by an ancester AND the monitor (robot) is speaking to MC.. about not doing he was suppose to do ... and that he must confront .. a beast Stop the lies. You are a troll who doesn't want to be muted ... or .. not very bright.

I've really enjoyed this season! I do disagree with your opinion that this was the best episode of the season tho- it had some good moments sure, but it was probably more of a mid-tier episode for me personally, I think because they went a bit too hard on the 'remember berries' for game fans (this episode I did get a bit lost with the lore side of things & did feel like I was missing context that had not been provided in the series thus far) & there were a few inconsistencies that took me out of the story (as you mentioned- how Keyes wasn't infected was a big one & Chief's helmet at the end- that felt more like I'd missed an episode rather than a cliffhanger, but then I'm missing context I think). Chief's arc, which had been the best part of the S2 for me, kind of fell a bit flat- again most likely because as mentioned above, I feel like we missed an episode in those last 5mins to get from where he was when entering the building, to where he appeared to be while talking to the AI. I have no clue what the building is, what it is supposed to represent, how it is connected to the flood, why Chief was apparently fighting stuff after entering etc. What is the flood, I get it is meant to connect & consume, but to what end... is it contained on the planet or is it intelligent? I was also getting weird vibes from Cortana- She sort of seems like she's aiming for stockholm syndrome with those she interacts with one on one, IDK- it was just a bit weird, maybe I'm missing more context.

What are you waffling on about? Keye's opened the device in a container .. and it was still in a container. Likewise the sample she took from it to examine would have also been in some sort of container. And they stated from the opening seen ... the the spores are spread by TOUCH. Likewise MC talking to the Monitor ... was clearly in the FUTURE .. and we will learn in Season 3 how he got there and who the Monitor is. And what is the Flood? C'mon man. This episode just explained what the Flood is .. and that it is connected ... to a BEAST. And both are very old ... and killed the People who created teh portals & ancient artifacts .. and of course the Halo. You should not be commenting about "inconsistent" writing when you clearly ignoring the main story & subplots ... and character development ... over 16 episodes. That Monitor (robot ) was in Kwans dream quest ... speaking to Kwans ancestor hundereds if not thousands of years ago ... in season 1. And we learned from the Show .. every planet with life ... has these Ancient portals .. and certain people (bloodlines) have been assign by the Portal makers .. to be PROTECTORS. And the Halos can kill all life ... and the Flood feeds on ... life. Do the maths. And Ancient species that made portals on planets that have life ... builds Halos to exterminate all life ... and a deadly spore ... is retrieve from an ancient people's underground city bunker ....who are now all dead. A smart scifi fan ... with zero knowledge of Halo lore ... would figure the purpose of the portals ... and .. Halo .....and the reason for planets like Onyx with ancient bunker cities. The Halos kill all life in the Galaxy ... to stop the Flood. Then from somewhere unknown life is is recreated .. and sent to their planet ... with a portal ... like hmmmmm Earth ... to start a new cycle or timeline for the intelligent life in the Galaxy. And the bunker planets like Onyx ... protect the inhabitants .... from the Flood and the activated Halo.

Point 3- Actually, when the shaman appears to Kwan she reveals the true nature of the monster in her visions is the Flood & it wants connection. I've got no idea what this additional beast is that you are referring to. I'm going to go & assume it is game or book lore, which again brings me back to "the only context I have is the lore the show provides". Obviously, the infection might have killed a bunch of ancient people given it was found in a lab, but who those people were or what I have no idea as the show has not provided that context yet. The dead ancient person they took the artifact from obviously didn't die from the infection as it was contained. Point 4- Oh joy- Someone who feels the need to resort to personal insults when they come across a comment they might not agree with. Perhaps you should reread the comment as so far your "points" are proving my point- the show lacked some context in the final episode for those watchers who don't have the game or book lore to lean on. Point 5- The grammar is so bad on this one I'm not brothering to try work what your point is, so no point replying to it other than to say- again, "I only have the shows lore as context". Point 6- 🙄Your response is reading very much like an arrogant fanboy that can't handle comments they don't agree with at this point. Once again, I only have the context of the show. I should not have to read a book series, research online or play hours of video games for answers happening on a TV series (which was advertised as self-contained) if the writing is done well enough. Point 7- 🤨 ... You do realise your using lore outside of that offered by the show to supposedly answer my questions literally proves the point I was making. Bonus points- You could have helped someone who was on the cusp of becoming immersed in the franchise, take that next step to becoming a fan & supporting it though purchasing its content. @@nixequestrian3721 My comments are based on lore & cannon ...the simlver timeline not blue ... a 4 season Max with 8 episodes per season .. and 343 Industries ( & Microsoft) using this series to set the lore for winding up the Game (Blue) timeline. None of your waffle mentioned the fact ... Master Chief of Blue Team ( & Game) died thousands of years ago or the Librarian or someone as powerful implanted genesongs in MC, Kwan, Halsey etc. Again. My "essay" is based entirely on Halo lore & canon .. not fanfic, head canon & the usual "liberal" opinions, wants, beliefs, feelings, interpretations.

​@@abelincoln8885 The point you seem to be missing, is that the Halo SHOW is the only lore that those of us watching with no prior knowledge of the franchise have- we only know what the show tells us. Again, the fact you have to lore dump from other parts of the franchise to answer questions about the final episode of the show is the whole point I was making- that for the final episode, the show writers did not do as good of a job explaining what was going on to newbs as they had in previous episodes of S2. Like I said, I enjoyed the season as a whole, episode 8 didn't land for me PERSONALLY, which is why I do not feel it was the best episode of S2. Episode 4 was the best for me.

Definitely enjoyed reading your analysis. This was by far my favorite episode because of the way it brought the first 2 seasons in line with the games... as if they were prequels, perhaps, and to see Halo in a different light. But I see your arguments and agree that some of it seems a bit off, and missing, but hopefully these gaps will be filled in the future.

This is early infection from the flood and it wasn't flood forms it spores we haven't seen full fledge infection form we saw little ones and thats thanks to having limited biomass and just waking up from dormancy

The flood being dormant(for thousands of years)is like if someone was in a coma when you wake up your body forgets how to walk and do other things it ain’t just gonna happen right as soon as you wake up your body has to remember and regain the ability same goes to the flood it ain’t just gonna be OP as soon as it’s activated it has to rebuild itself to its former self (at least that’s how I see it) hence the smaller flood forms
