We need to install new dinghy davits on our Leopard 47 but we don’t know how to weld so our friend Singh agrees to teach us. I’m not sure how much we really helped, but he let us watch as he builds a fantastic arch for Indioko and we couldn’t be happier!

📖 Our Story 📖
We're Iain and Brioni, a couple of ginger Scots who sold everything we own and moved to the Caribbean to buy a boat that we could call home. We have a habit of finding ourselves in the most unusual circumstances, but that’s what makes life interesting! We love to travel, we love the sea and we love sharing inspiring stories about inspiring people. So hit subscribe and join us on this adventure!

Singh was absolutely amazing and generously allowed us to take part in the building of the davits. It was a real eye opener for us too. What skills! Indi continues to surprise us as she takes everything in her stride and keeps us safe along the way. We couldn’t have found a better boat for our little adventure.

We couldn’t agree more. He has such passion for his work and makes it look so easy but having experienced the process, we have nothing but respect for him. The Davits are amazing too.

looks like we might have just missed you guys at St. Martin this last season - we left the lagoon to go to St. Thomas on Christmas Eve 2021 but were hanging out in St. Martin for about a month before that. Not that you would have known us from a hill a beans, but I always seem to figure out timelines at locations we've been at just to see if we crossed paths and didn't know it. Cheers.

So close! Hey next time we cross wakes, make sure to swing by and give us a knock on the hull. Would be great to meet. I will have to ask Bri where we were around then as I’m truly terrible around dates but sounds like we weren’t far away.

You should put a remote camera on each side and at the top of the mask. Than you will have full sight.

Hi Guys, so good and refreshing see you guys as i just "found you" hehee Ok, i got Leopard 45 same situation and Love the way you did for the tender lift, is it any chance you could reply with what blocks you did use to make it work use the winch to lift. Thanks in advance Mikael. 😉

Hi Mikael, so nice to meet you and thanks for finding our little adventure. The davits have been a fantastic adaption to Indioko. We have switched things round a little with regards to how we lift the dinghy. Linc the Dink is pretty heavy so we have to use ratios in our favour. We actually made an episode on the evolution of our davit lift which you can find here kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmS5l6Cld8qnoKMsi=i8E4Z6lGZuzFhgxa

Hi, I'm a new subscriber. I'm wondering how much you pay the dock for the stay. And if you drop anchor 1 or 2 kilometers from the dock is it allowed and do you get fined and if you drop anchor at a distance do you have to pay as well. I ask you because I got into an argument with people, and I myself am not familiar :)
@RedSeas
@RedSeas Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for joining our adventure! The charges for staying at a dock change, depending where you are in the world but typically it can be between $50-$150 per night. It is usually free to anchor but some places do charge a small fee - we usually only stay in the free places! Usually we anchor just 100-200m from the shore so that it is still shallow enough for us to drop our anchor and chain to reach the bottom.
