I’m pretty sure even a therapist wouldn’t be able to help dazai and the ADA have their own shit and mental traumas to deal with. Atsushi literally has a flashback everyday and probably has nightmares and so do the others. Tanizaki is... well, there’s definitely some mental thing wrong with his head. Yosano is just broken and kunikida’s had a lot to deal with since the day dazai passed his entrance exam. Kyoukas probably met a few suicidal people in the mafia and used to be one herself. I agree that the ADA does pass off dazai’s suicide thing as nothing but they’ve probably known enough about mentally fucked up people to know not to pry, because that’s when dazai’s mask falls off and that when his desperation to die will shoot up sky-high. In ‘no longer human’ yozo was scared of his mask slipping off even slightly and that’s when he truly and utterly wanted to die. And about the video, this is a fan video everyone. It ain’t canon. In canon, the ADA would we surprised considering the shit atsushi and yosano had to go through when they were so young and ranpo saw his parents die or at least their dead bodies in front of him and so did kyouka. Don’t just look at dazai, all the others also have serious problems, ok? Everyone deserves the attention that seems so trained on dazai and dazai only.

It's honestly so disappointing how none of them take his obsession with suicide seriously. Just because he puts on a happy and joking façade doesn't mean that he doesn't have serious issues that, as people who claim to care for his well-being, they should at least TRY to address and not just assume it's him messing around. Do they actually think he wraps himself in gauze for no fucking reason? (Not that there aren't various theories going around about why, but the most obvious is definitely that he's hiding scars from self-harm and wounds from the mafia). Fukuzawa, Ranpo, and Yosano are most likely the least oblivious for their own reasons, but they probably also understand Dazai and where he comes from better than the others possibly could.
