This is not good use of Regular soldiers, the British army is shockingly below strength, this task could be undertaken by the "Beef Eaters" who look after the Tower of London, I hope the King or the tourist Board pay for this display !!

This is almost like suggesting that one can replace soldiers with prison guards... Not the same training, or role, or duties, mate. There's a reason why there's different names for different groups.

They are Ministry of Defence Police not Metropolitan Police and dress appropriate to their task.
