Loved this one and Marty; I have all of his CDs. But when he did Brittney Spears, it showed me how talented he was! I'm glad he didn't win so he could go on and do his own stuff!

Absolutely the best show of its kind! The Voice is nice but more of a star vehicle for the "coaches" than the competitors. I sure wish CBS would launch a new season of Rockstar!

This version by Marty is my all-time favorite song to listen to and video to view - it gives me goosebumps each time. Lucas version was different but doesn't hold a candle to the way Marty brings you into emotion of the song.

Lukas did a lot better with this song then Marty did.. Don't get me wrong, I think Marty is awesome. He was my favorite in Rockstar: INXS and I got the Lovehammers CD when it came out, but Lukas killed this song.

Not his best performance. There are parts that were monotone and pitchy. Dont get me wrong I liked him but he doesn't have the vocal range to pull this one off. Anyone notice if you dye his hair red he'd look like the sick bed ridden sister from pet cemetery? I want him to scream NEVER GET OUT OF BED AGAIN! LOL.

I downloaded all of Marty"s performances from Rock Stars INXS and have been listeding to them ever sinice. He's Brilliant! As a matter of fact, I just finished listening to the CD for two hours while tanning in the back yard and had to get a video fix! Marty you are the real deal!!!!

It didn't do well in the rating tho. Not enough pre processed, pitch perfect, cookie cutter shit. That's why we have American I-dull. Not that this wasn't contrived to, but the bits in the house and rehearsals did have WAY less cheese than the talent shows on now.

Too creative? Sure Marty had a couple of solid performances on this show, such as Wish You Were Here and I suppose this one, but for the most part he had a vocal style limited to post-grunge, overly commercialized rock. I'm afraid he was simply not the man for INXS.

you see, this song only works if its sung by someone who has experienced real heartbreak - true, utter rejection, with no future prospects beyond an abyss of loneliness and memories. that is where the emotion of this song comes from. kind of hard to get this from a pretty young man or woman, who have their 'pick' as it were.

Ehh.. He can't do the high pitched stuff very well... Nor the 'run'. His voice cracked and he stopped at a bad time :/ if he could have held that note a little longer by not using all his breath to try and make 'run' sound "more dramatic" I guess, it would have been decent to my ears.
