Armenia, Azerbaijan Clash At Border After EU Pledges $290 Mn For Yerevan Amid Tensions With Russia

The European Union (EU) has agreed on a landmark plan to pull Armenia into the Western fold and support its economy amid growing tensions in the region. The EU has promised to allocate $290 million to support businesses and industry in the South Caucasus country over the next four years. The move comes as Armenia is trying to cut ties with its former ally Russia, which owns much of the country’s energy network and infrastructure. The Russian Foreign Ministry has warned Yerevan not to be “deceived” by the West and lead Armenia astray. Meanwhile, clashes have been reported along the tense frontier between Azerbaijan and Armenia, with heavy shooting reported by both sides.

Armenian is a kleptocracy and like a mafia it tries to play both sides, hoping it can milk profits from both sides and then betraying one side when it feels that one side is stronger and the other side is weaker. The problem is that Armenia played the wrong side because it has a substantial diaspora in the US and hence the influence of US. In the US, Armenian community uses their Russian ally card to extort and manipulate inflation in the local economy because they are acting like the settlers are in Israel, creating insular communities within the community, creating apartheid like conditions and then trying to extort others. Armenia and Russia have a defense treaty. Although many seem to think its not working, it's actually the main thing that's protecting Armenia right now from a full scale invasion by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan would have invaded Armenia a long time ago had it not for its existing defense treaty with Russia. In a war, NATO member Turkiye will support Azerbaijan while Armenia will get none.

Armenian is a kleptocracy and like a mafia it tries to play both sides, hoping it can milk profits from both sides and then betraying one side when it feels that one side is stronger and the other side is weaker. The problem is that Armenia played the wrong side because it has a substantial diaspora in the US and hence the influence of US. In the US, Armenian community uses their Russian ally card to extort and manipulate inflation in the local economy because they are acting like the settlers are in Israel, creating insular communities within the community, creating apartheid like conditions and then trying to extort others. This is how Armenia has operated. It tried the same tactic in Azerbaijan.

Back then, Armenia had occupied areas of Azerbaijan in order to have access to Nagorno-Karabakh, yet never annexed the areas, nor recognized the independence of the "Republic of Artsakh" (as the Armenians called it). So, these areas had no "protector" except for Armenia that couldn't defend them properly when Azerbaijan started a new war in order to get its areas back.
