Armenian villagers brace for conflict over fears of Azerbaijan land claims • FRANCE 24 English

Residents of the Armenian village of Voskepar are gathering daily to share their fears since Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signalled in March his readiness to make territorial concessions to Baku to put some momentum into stalled peace talks. Located 200 kilometres north of the capital Yerevan, Voskepar is right on the border with Azerbaijan.

It is. Many regions of the buffer zone and of Artsakh itself are still being demined. It would slow down an invasion but without massive amounts of ordnance and anti drone capabilities, Armenia doesn't stand much chance against the numbers the turks possess.

This is very bad and unprofessional reporting. Azerbaijan does not claim any part of Voskepar village. It wants back 4 neighboring Azerbaijani villages that are located on Azerbaijan's sovereign territory and were illegally occupied by Armenia in 1990s. A good journalist would check the map before saying something to the camera. Local Armenians want to continue the occupation of Azerbaijani villages, but it is illegal, and may result in another armed conflict.
