That's not how it works, or all actors who've done intimate scenes would then become close friends. Those two are, but that's because they genuinely liked each other as people. Some others filming similar stuff might end up hating each other as well, but in most cases it's neither, actors are simply doing their job. Ultimately, it IS a job, after all, intimate scenes included.

Andre Aciman is indeed writing a sequel to "Call Me By Your Name"--it's called "Find Me" and will be released in October 2019. Allegedly, the sequel to the film will be released sometime in 2020. No way to know whether the film sequel will align with the first book or the second.
