There's a new rumor that's come along within the last day or two, Fromsoft allegedly sent random surveys out to people (one person at least), with parts of it describing a new Armored Core. But, you know, grain of salt and all that, liars are everywhere. I'm still hopeful though. We won't get any real information about such a thing until a while after Elden Ring, and any DLC they announce for it, are finished off and get their last patches, anyway.

As much as we want it.. I doubt we'll see an Armored Core 6 any time soon. While it is by no means a "Dead" series, it's more that Mech games aren't terribly popular at the moment.. Given that they haven't made a good one in god knows how long, it's not like they can blame that anyway. I think the main issue is going to be format.. specifically ACFA vs ACVD. I honestly like both so it matters little to me, but in regards to story.. ACVD is really the only format they can do.

Yeah all FROM makes now are just Soulsborne games unfortunately. I might be in the minority but I've never gotten into those games with the exception of Demon Souls.

I enjoyed them up until Bloodborne where I think the formula peaked, and since then it's felt stale and played out alot of "been there, done that" the gameplay and story and level design hasnt really evolved in any meaningful way, if the rumors are true that they're working on Armored Core again, I hope to god its not just another Soulsborne game with a mecha skin. But Bandai Namco will probably try to push that even harder after Elden Rings success.
