For those wondering, its more than 20 hours to get all the content. With NG+/++ you unlock new missions, new parts and weapons, and an alternate ending.

I haven't played it yet, but I saw another reviewer (Iron Pineapple) mentioned there are branching mission paths that can change stuff in New Game +. Also they mentioned that there are unique missions and mech parts in NG + as well. It's a 20 hour game, but it begs to be replayed at least once.

Was a huge Gundam fan growing up, but never tried a mech game til now. Decided to give this a try after playing through FromSoft’s catalogue, and several hours in I can safely say this game is exactly what I was hoping for. Cinematic visuals, fluid movement, fast paced combat, and crazy customization potential. Having a blast 🔥

This is a must buy for me. Been playing AC since 2 on PS2. If people only knew how horrible the controls were back then they'd give this a 10/10. AC6 looks like how I wanted AC2 to play if it were combined with Zone of the Enders and a whole customization package.
@Razmoudah

Sadly, I only played the PS2 entries before. Although I have a PS3 my finances were tight enough I had to be extra picky as to what games I would or wouldn't buy back then, and I just wasn't good enough at AC2/3 to justify getting AC4/5. AC6 though, this one is what I'd always wanted Armored Core to be, and I couldn't be happier with it. Hell, despite all of the warnings about how demanding the game is it's running on my gaming laptop at maxed out graphics settings (including Ray Tracing) just fine.

So as one Hardcore fan to another... I was heartbroken after about 7hrs... It's very MechSouls or Armored Borne.... The bosses have weakspots, you lose a lot of AC3 and AC4 customizations. It was really disappointing... Think AC5 but less, some items are only R or L, same for back units. They removed Shoulder EX items. You really can't have 2 firing at once like you could. It's very AC2 but less.

These devs just absolutely nailed the game feel. In the AC, you feel weighty but also very nimble and dangerous, and all your weapons feel like they have impact. When YOU get hit, you feel impacted. It's important for a game like this for hits to be able to be felt and registered because you're dealing with such large health pools it would be easy for things to feel spongy and sterile. I'm happy that the controls on mouse and keyboard feel good also. I was worried that the lock system would degrade the importance of actually aiming, but my experience so far has been that the lockon system is balanced insofar as lining up shots with it is highly contingent on your movement relative to the enemy's. So if you're standing still and they're moving, you're going to miss pretty much every shot as the system doesn't lead for you. Pretty cool. Moving the camera around with the mouse feels responsive. I'm interested in trying the free aim OS upgrade later. Hopefully multiplayer takes off. Great game. I'm one of the few people who never really cared for Souls/Elden Ring. But I've been playing the AC games since the PS1 era and have a lot of fond memories of them, and it's so badass From brought this franchise back from the dead.

Been having an absolute blast with AC6. It runs so smoothly on console, I haven't noticed any frame drops which is crazy since I already put 18 hours into the game on highest performance with ray-tracing. @@gre3nishsinx0Rgold4AC games are rarely a one off. Even ACV which was one of the worst selling got Verdict Day for a sequel. I think if not full games, they’ll maybe support AC6 with big dlc updates. But considering AC games tend to have time jumps and such, they tend to lean into full releases. But I’m glad to have a new AC, aside from it there’s Daemon X Machina and not much else. There’s mech games where they act as more tank like but not much when it comes to speed and energy swords and such. Although I did like Mech Warrior 5.

This game is amazing, has literally everything I could ask for as a long time AC fan. Customization is better than it's ever been, plus no microtransactions for color palettes like other scummy studios. Actually a big fan of the way multiplayer is unlocked too. Replay missions for *_coam_* and don't be afraid to sell your extra gear, you can always rebuy it back for the price you sold it for. It makes messing with the customization early game no problem. It's also runs super well on pc, haven't had any issues whatsoever.

Then Swap both your shoulders to the laser cannon you can spam them one at a time after his shield is broken. Then just buy all the heavy armour so your ac is a tank, you want as much ap as you can get. @@Zemeckis_ ACFA was the last good AC game. Ive played this for a few hours and want to pull my hair out with its slow and sluggish commands, terrible UI setup with no Minimap, and it has health pots in the form of repairs! the boss's are something you have to "learn the attack patters" and do not feel like machines that you are contracted to find a way to defeat as in ACFA were the fortress's (boss's) are just another enemy but massive. you have to build vastly different for certain boss's instead of finding the best build in your build style (aka im all about speed yet I have to sometimes switch to something slow and heavy hitting to put dents into some enemy's). The stagger system is a joke, and yes I know other games in the series had stagger but my god this stagger system is so dam in your face annoying with its 2 missiles and your stun-locked. AC6 is an utter disgrace to the AC games of old. All AC6 is an Armored Souls game with how everything is a curated fight with attack patterns and limited battlefield sizes.

Several things to point out about Armored Core 6: - AC6 has a lot of replay value due to the decisions made throughout the campaign (that includes multiple endings), as well as the unlockables of New Game + and beyond! - For all newcomer Ravens, you DO NOT need to have played the previous AC games to get into this one, very similar on how Final Fantasy dev teams create its titles. - Plays different from Souls - same smooth, responsive controls. - Long range arsenal: bazookas, gatling guns, split missiles, plasma rifles and more. - Melee weaponry: Cluster bomb thrower, chainsaw, pulse blade, lances and more. - The movement speed is between AC3 and AC5 - There is a heavy on customization. - Tons of custom paint jobs and the posibility of downloading weapons for making decals. - Legs are one of the most important parts of your mech, because they determine how much weight your vehicle can carry. - Your power engine / energy source is on other one as it modifies the amount of energy available, as well as how slow or fast your energy bar will recharge, when its depleted.

As an AC vet, AC6 is an incredible revisit and even continuation of the series. I have heard many opinions about the story and the story expands after the 1st AND 2nd playthrough. Much like other FS Games, the lore is sprinkled through each play and I expect some hefty videos about interpretations in the future and each one of the endings makes sense giving how the narratives play out. Very solid re-entry to the AC universe and I hope there's more to come.

AC6 reminds me of another game published by Bandai Namco, Ace Combat 7. Most of the talking is from the briefing room, has limited cutscenes, having an unclear story from the start, customizing your jet/mech before you sortie, and more. And eventually, you stop worrying about your missions so much because you are now a big Stompy Robot doing Big Stompy Robot things, with the purpose of getting back to your shop and warehouse to manage all your myriad of stats and builds.

Yeah, I struggled against the first boss, dying twice. Then I figured out that melee attacks worked pretty well. I just tried to stay under or behind it, boosted up until I was near it, plasma-sword'd it, recharged my energy, rinse and repeat. It is definitely a huge difficulty spike in the game, unless you realize melee attacks are a lot more effective on it than weapons fire.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed souls after I came back to gaming and found that my favorite Dev hadn't made another installments of my favorite games in almost a decade. AC 6 is a dream come true, and holy shit did they nail it coming back on current gen hardware. Now that it's here and all the ?AC?souls? discussion is finally put to rest, I really do think that the souls community that was not experienced with ac, is definitely going to help catapult it into more mainstream than the old games ever were. From's modern AC arena is peak gameplay for that online PvP crowd. Could not be happier to see AC back and so perfectly in 2023!
