@@cashewmiranda5155 oh jesus that reminds me of the time where i got hardstuck in Anor Londo. Uhm maybe if that helps you: i beat her by using double missle launchers. If both of them hit the boss, she immidaitely get staggered. There is always a small frame after an attack she did where she stands still, this is where you can fire both of them mid-range and hit the boss with it. Keep me up to date how it goes o/

@@DOVM6336 when you dont bring a good build into the field seriously this mission is a bit on the nose without checkpoints first you need to fight 2 ACs and then you fight 10 wheels for the moonlight survive a few MTs and LCs and then boss.... and then thats not asking for S ranking yet... which may get very... annoying at least by then you have all the collectibles so it "shouldnt be THAT annoying"

Same thing works with the stun baton. Pile bunker -> baton combo -> second pile bunker melts the boss in both phases. If you are attempting a stagger lock like this though make sure to have pulse armor, otherwise you the lasers at the start of phase 2 will melt you.

I actually tried this exact same strategy after beating it once already (I needed to run the mission again to get a combat log), but I used a different AC build with the same weapons, and I wasn’t getting the same damage output. Then I realized that he chose those specific arms for his AC in his build because they have high melee specialization, which boosts the damage of melee attacks. He also more than likely boosted the melee damage further through the OS tuning, specifically the upgrades for both melee and direct hit (direct hit especially for the Ashmead). The other AC parts were probably chosen specifically for their weight in order to optimize movement speed. That being said, it wasn’t as clean as Ongbal’s, but I now have a much greater appreciation for Double Trouble after getting payback after nearly breaking my controller out of frustration for almost an hour before beating it the first time.

i ran a lightweight build with all shotguns. Staying close and under it worked best for me. Was fun to experiment with different builds and strategies. Its cool to know you can beat it quick, but that's not fun to me.

Spent a few hours with this boss for the first time, my left hand hurt. It was a blade, a rocket launcher, a laser rifle and a laser shotgun - I didn't know much about the game. And I'm glad that it happened, because I completely studied this boss, it's wonderful, very beautiful. Then I switched to an all rocket launcher build - this forced me to learn the timing for launching rockets for each of the boss's attacks, and they are all different. It worked better. And then I took a laser spear and won. In ng+ and beyond, I won immediately. So, I want to go back to this boss with some kind of fairer build, maybe the one I had from the beginning.

yeah, this boss is actually just a Speedy Glass Canon. If you can pin it down, to give it a big BOOM you can probably kill it in 2 staggers, this is why Stuffs like the Pilebunker and the Chainsaw in a stagger are so broken against it. Cause its defenses are very low, its just very hard to get that opening.

Fire of Raven boss (that one) is the hardest to me. When you are close enough, boss will dash three time and melee you immediately. Also boss does not stun because of that PA too. Very hard for melee build. I know someone could do it but I couldn't even dodge the basic melee. (Controller + auto lock is a fucking pain when boss dash behind you)

But Rusty was already damaged and he escaped so I like to think he just dipped and went home, but going by the Overseer ending where you are forced to kill him and Liberator ending its implied Walter (Possibly controlled by Allmind) kills him, it's not likely.

I beat it on my first playthrough at my second try, just a basic lightweight build with dual heavy hitting machine guns and two missile launchers. I assume lightweight jumpy builds really help you avoid every attack from this boss.
