Armored Core Craft Data - [ Pacedriver ] (Backstory) ERROR: SHOULDER WEAPON CHANGE NOT RECORDED IN ORIGINAL LOG. Data Detail: - What started as a heart transplant facility gave way to a morbid testing ground for human argumentation at greater depth. Such experiments focused on the output generated by subjects heartbeats. It was discovered that a higher pulse rate could boost energy output. Faster and stronger heart beats meant increased offensive potential. So work begun on nano technology to manually control subjects hearts and feed their output through the same upload process as their mental state. During these findings it was clear that such stresses over long periods would cause problems - Heart Failure, Heart Attacks ETC. Hearts that experience too much pressure from these procedures have even been reported to rupture. But the boost awarded justifies the end result. After all, new hearts were easy to locate from salvaged corpses. In fact, the fresher the heart, the greater the price paid would be. And just as so, Pacedriver prototypes hit the production floor. After extensive trial and error, one build pulled through. The surgical conglomerate behind this AC continues to operate underground yet unimpeded. Their morality long gone and in it's place, a rotten heartbreaking greed festers. And the supply of hearts has no end in sight...
