I've been in the figure collecting space for a long time, and owning an SHMA used to be something to be proud of. They were expensive because of how well made they were and how they innovated compared to other companies. This just isn't the case anymore. I've seen other collectors saying these figures aren't that bad and who cares and all that, but seriously. These figures are expensive. Why are we trying to settle for slop. I hate these figures. Doesn't mean anyone else has to. But you don't have to hate them to make the choice not to buy them. Don't buy these figures. We deserve better. Don't give your money to a company that can't even pretend like it cares about you. One of the big reasons HIYA has been so well received is because they listened to feedback and innovated. More than once. SHMA should learn a thing or two from that.

I never had an S.H. monsterarts figure due to budget reasons as a young pre-teen and wanted one for a long time. As an adult now, It's a shame seeing bandai increasing the prices and giving the figures less accessories and selling the same repainted figures from GvK. Especially with the quality issues that are becoming more frequently. I hope Hiya would make a kiryu figure as a perfect match for the monsterarts figure as Kiryu is my favorite kaiju.

i think that SH is trying to do something similar to GvK, where they released Godzilla and Kong, and Mechagodzilla soon after, my guess is that they're going to release their pre-evolve/pre-upgrade versions before the movie, and a little before the movie releases, they're gonna leak the evolved godzilla, thano- i mean kong with beast glove, skar king, and shimo (i bet skar king and shimo will release a bit after the movie just like mechagodzilla)

The only reason like Sh Monsterarts and will always chose them over Neca or Hiya Toys is that they’re posing and joint system is Excellent, i can make more poses with the shma Godzilla figures than i can with the Neca or Hiya toys figures, but even i can agree that people deserve better than this. I wished they gave us the pink evolved godzilla instead of this because this is just cheap of them, and i already own kong and wont chose to buy any future releases unless there is a massive change in him, and even them prices are not justified. if they at least gave us some building and vehicle props like Neca did with Rodan and Mothra and monsterarts old SHMA Figures then I can justify spending 200 - 300 CAD for them unless they’re actually worth it and its something i want.

S.H. Monsterarts? More like, S.H. MonsterSharts. As Adam Wingard said, Kong has additional hair on his shoulders and has a bigger beard than before, but this model has none of that. And then there’s Godzilla. It’s the same mold from 2019 (5 years ago) and they basically did the exact same thing as they did to him in GvK: paint his spines some shade of blue in an unsystematic way. Hiya Goji is better.

I’ll completely pass on Kong, the one I own (being the Exclusive edition) is perfect. However on the Godzilla, I missed out on both the 2019 poster version and 2021 version. It will be my first Godzilla with blue plates and a breath effect piece. Still, I’ll wait for the reviews, if even this Godzilla is bad, well no, they won’t have my money this easily. (Note : Not that I hate Hiya (I loved their Ghidorah and Rodan, I own them and they are fabulous, so the Godzillas must be of the same quality) but, they are extremely rare to find in France and shipping is very expensive)

I'm disappointed bandi is doing this again but looking at the these figures I'mma give an opinion to buy or not Kong: no, the exclusive version is better rhan this, they used the original 2021 mold instead of the exclusive version which basically makes this kong a downgrade and we didn't need another axe recolor Godzilla: this depends, lazy to use the same sculpt but it does visually look better than 2021 version and at least they gave him an atomic breath. So if you don't hsve the g21 figure then I think it's not bad if you buy this. If you do however then probably not buy this Overall: disappointing that they released these figures for a movie where both ate obviously different (pink Godzilla and kong with arm brace)

bandai at this point has just given up on giving us quality goods and if they are they will charge more than 200 usd price points. The sh qc issues are getting worse especially on premium, henshin stuff is malfunctioning out of the box, they are starting to use cheaper plastic and ditching out on resin for shm eyes and ichiban kuji prizes are either being rereleased but worse or harder to get from the tickets.

When I searching about Godzilla 2019 or 2021 they are too expensive, but the repaint Godzilla 2024 when they official release it cost $56 or something. But l will buy them both actually because l don't have the orignal GVK SHMA figures in 2021 because l was under age as 13 (Right now l m 14 turning to 15) and l love to have an SHMA Godzilla and Kong teaming up in my collection but Hiya have better figures at least l will get SHMA and Hiya figures of Big G and Kong

We have a problem with SHMA because they overcharge product that's often riddled with quality control issues. In addition with this case - these are just literal repaints of two figures that are still available on the market if you know where to look. These are blatant cash grabs with no justification to exist, end of story.
