Armored Core 6: S Rank Promotion Battles w/LW AC! Patch 1.06.

Just did my S Rank promos. Succeeded on my fourth attempt. Lost two fights but didn't include them as they were not interesting or exciting fights (lost because I got hit by earshots once, insta staggered then got deleted if anyone cares).
Have always been a LW and BVO guy erring more towards the more aggressive play style, but the latest patch nerfed the Vientos to oblivion so I replaced them with Etsujins. They aren't as good and my timing was off on followups, but it was enough to get me through the battles and maintain a positive win rate.

I love the reverse thrust and missiles at the end of your close up combo. Like a cherry on top. Super class move and a great way to evade hits. 7:08

@@clubbizarre You earned my respect when you said you don’t kite or tank 🫡 You might enjoy mid weight builds. Definitely more flexible with weapon picks and ap buffer when compared to lw while maintaining relatively high movement speed

@RL_assassin01 there are obvious drawbacks when playing like midweight, notably a lack of consistent mobility/agility and the need to stay close, but as anything, practice makes perfect. It works for me to climb those 80.000 lp But again, respect, buddy 🫡

Etsujins are absolutely cracked, I’m using them on a lw along with redshift and plasma missiles. I’ve climbed through most of A rank and even got a 14 win streak. Hopefully it’ll carry me to S.

I managed to get to S Rank just before the reset, but I’m back at the promotion phase now and have been through it about 8 times. Can’t crack it this time unfortunately, I think I just got lucky with the match ups last time. So I guess I’ll be sitting at the top of A4 for a while 🤖

I like how calling a build "BVO" no longer is the indication of parts used but an indication of the *PLAYSTYLE* (High mobility, dual pistols for stagger and melee for stagger punish).

Vientos still wreck everyone that complained about them. They're just no longer effective against the builds that didn't. The nerf was too much.

I understood the impact accumulation reduction, but increasing reload time might be a bit too much as a total nerf. Still good, but not really a viable option like the zimms still are post nerf. Also, I was surprised the earshots didn’t get a nerf because those are busted
