I always did wonder why opponents acted like they had no clue I was trying to hit them with an EARSHOT grenade from a distance using manual aim. So they don’t get the beep warning… thanks for the advice.

really appreciated your insight into lightweights. They are also my favorite builds. I got frustrated with some of the patch before the last and haven't used them much since. I think this has re-inspired me. A light build was how I originally got to S rank. I used Etsujins with moonlight. Might try your build out though, it's awesome.

My in-lore explanation for this is that the AC pilot, Callsign JC, defeated and unhappy with his old AC, SCORPIO, is now risking everything in a new, more effective and extremely fast, but highly dangerous prototype designed just for him with the designation HEATSINK. HEATSINK is just as likely to kill him as it is his opponent, but at this point JC will do anything it takes to win, no matter the risk or cost.

My brain has broken types of cores like this, if anyone else finds it helpful, cool: -Rats (kites) high speed, high range, run and shoot until you win. -Cats (rushdown) high burst movement, high damage at close range, get in their face, break their stance and punish. -Dogs (statcheck) high defenses, big guns, harass at long range, vaporizes people if you can corner them at close range. hybrids: -Hawks (kite/rushdown) prefers midrange, kites in all 3 dimensions until they break ACS or find an opening to punish with a close-range weapon. If you're a fast AC with a lance, explosive thrower, or hmmr, you're probably a hawk. -Lobsters (rushdown/statcheck) prefers close range with some burst mobility and decent defense. Can shed weapons to catch rats in a pinch, likes ambush tactics. Once they get on you they don't let go. -Gorillas (kite/statcheck) mixes some aerial and burst mobility with raw offense and defense. Climb into a high position and shell down until someone makes the mistake of getting close to you. Gorilla is Takafumi's preferred playstyle, especially with hover-tanks. People also talk about "knights." -Knight: Any AC that uses both a shield and a melee or at least close-ranged weapon. Typically falls into one of the hybrid playstyles.

Shame FromSoft didn't buff the other pistols in the patch, gonna have to wait 3 months for the next one and hope they do something regarding that

One thing I would like to see eventually is a video covering team ranked. I know they’re not popular to watch compared to 1v1 because of the chaos making it hard to follow, but the play styles in that mode is very different from 1v1, and arguably it has its own meta. Grenade launchers, for instance, are very popular because the AoE has a chance to catch multiple opponents.

I came to a very similar build recently and found this video trying to optimize it. Why not use Kazsaur reverse-legs? Better jumó despite weight and it can compensate for the initial vertical boost I typically experienced with regular biped legs.

Damn. A while back I said I couldn't cram plasma cannons on my builds even if I wanted to, well, I guess I was wrong. I admit I haven't really had time to play last 2 weeks tax season and a bunch of car maintenance comin' up haha. Never messed with that Lamm core too much cus the QB cost intimidated me. I QB a LOT. And I can't use a coral gen don't like having to plan ahead for a redline. When I need to move I need to move miss a moment and your a step behind. I am, or was, reeaally sick of my EN supply limitations though.

Sulla is one of the stronger ACs you'll meet in the story, so don't beat yourself up over it! Try using Hard lock and two Ludlows + 2 missiles on the back. Sulla's build does good damage but his weapons are on the bursty side and can be out damaged if you keep the pressure. Stay close and fire all weapons. You'll unlock a lot of the good fast mech parts throughout the story, and there is zero shame in changing your build in order to fit the situation.

Yeah, this. If your main strategy is running the clock, it means you aren't a good player. You can't do that and win in 3v3s because you have to engage and your team will get cooked without you.

he is a lag switcher. as he mentioned himself fasans are attacker sided and go through PA. he lands most of his shots cause of shit net and fastest projectile speed.

Everything except missiles is attacker sided you gronk. JC lives somewhere that has bad net infrastructure, he's not a lag switcher. And Fasan only goes through PA if you land the initial hit before the PA comes up. Bottom comment.
