@@naozumikuuki Best theory that I can come up with for this trailer it looks like our original squad was completely wiped out and we were almost dead if it wasn't for Walter however going through that length just to keep someone alive it means we're not as expendable as anybody first thought looks like we were Hound 617 but now here's the question why change our designation from 617 to 621 why are we using someone else's call sign and it doesn't explain why he sent us to Rubicon why just a single mercenary and Walter and his hounds are known established mercenary outfit across multiple different planets

Okay. So Firstly, from what has been said for this game so far, it is not connected to the other games and is set in a separate universe/timeline from all others (just like how 4, For Answer, V, and Verdict Day were in separate universe/timeline from the older games). Secondly, I think what is going on with the AC pilots here is basically like what we had a bit of in 4/For Answer with the Lynxes. In that game, Lynxes were augmented in order to not just be able to successfully pilot the NEXTs, but also to just survive piloting them. This also resulted in them having to physically "connect" to their AC's systems. That is why in here see the player character, 621, having connectors and wires pulled out and plugged in, as those are the augmentations used to connect the pilots to their ACs. Thirdly, the reason we see 621 being wrapped up is because he/she was being kept in storage in some form of suspended animation. It would appear here that augmented humans (at least the ones Handler Walter uses to pilot his mechs) are basically treated less like human beings, and more like tools. They are basically just mass produced commodities used to pilot the machines for whomever purchased them, be it a mercenary group or a Corporation. This is further evidenced by the mere fact that they don't have/aren't referred by names and are instead given identification numbers (617, 619, 620, 621, with 621 actually being known as C4-621). Hell, for all we know they could all be clones of multiple individuals, or even all the same clone of one individual. For instance, we know from the Gameplay Trailer two months ago that C4-621 uses the callsign "Raven", and that according to what someone else in the trailer says, that callsign used to belong to someone else, presumably someone who is deceased. Most assumed that Walter just assigned the callsign to 621 just because he could/it was the callsign he created for one of his now deceased pilots, but it could be that the reason that 621 is assigned the callsign is because he is a clone of the original pilot to use the callsign "Raven", and is just the only one of the clones that Walter (or whomever else) felt was the most like the original in terms of skill/felt that 621 was the only clone to earn the title. To further emphasize that the augmented pilots like 617, 619, 620, and 621 are just viewed as tools, there was that emblem that has already been released that hints towards lobotomies being a thing, which as you can see in the trailer here, it definitely looks like some shit was done to 621's brain. Plus, even 617 seemed to be speaking in an emotionless, robotic way, as if something was done to his brain to suppress his human emotions. Lastly, it goes without saying that along with the above, the augmentations require the pilots to be physically in their machines and connected to them, so I don't believe it is some remote controlled AC that just fries the pilots brains from afar, the pilots are literally in the machines and being killed inside of them, some probably from overload of the pain receptors after experiencing the machine blown to high hell (despite their actual human bodies in the cockpit not being touched), and others because they are impaled, have half their bodies exploded, have the cockpit crushed around them, etc.

4 and 5 gen are same universe since Black Glint is a final boss in VD. 4A and VD had similar plots of getting off world. From honestly Orca/Old King endings this was possible. So if anybody got off world they most likely took that Kojima tech and adapted it for smaller AC's which is what we see here in 6. Anybody that didn't get offworld fast enough after the events of 4A are involved in the events of 5/VD. 1, 2 and 3 are connected too. SInce 2 is the same earth as 1 they're just on Mars which is an easy enough feat for the time. 3 is connected since that's the war that pretty much is the after story of 1 and 2. What happened to 621 is basically the horrors of the Human+ project when the pliots have no agency over their actions. The tech used to transfer the minds to the machines is a big thing in the transhumanist side of cyberpunk and AC as a whole because there has been Yet there's a easter egg in 621's number they equal Nine and said pliot is calling themselves Raven most likely is a homage that the player themselves is "Nineball". Since that AC didn't have a pliot but an AI. Yet what if that "AI" wasn't such yet it was a human's construct with protocols and directives. Like how Robocop works 621 most likely wasn't that great of a "subject" for the Human+ program yet they're decent enough. Which is a jab at the player base a lot of people aren't gonna be good which is fine it is expected. Yet those that excel will become worthy of being called "Raven"

@@jjrobledo24 Gen 2 and 3 you could get arms shot off yet since Last Raven, From made these fluid, dynamic battle scapes. Where in game is more video game like. 6 might have the most fluid movement

@@ExeErdna No, I meant that pilot 617's AC is featured at the end with similar broken parts, hence the cover of AC6. However, if you take a closer look, it's not the same AC. It's actually AC Nightfall which belongs to 621. Or am I wrong?

@@jjrobledo24 Well it looks like all those ACs had the same base model with different loadouts on them. So I would guess that's the cheap disposable one Walter sends out, your starter AC as you will. But really, it's not common for the box AC to show up in game. They tend to be overweight or pretty trash. The ones that do show up tend to be piloted by Ravens that are flat out cheating.

Surely that plug being pulled out is just them preparing 621 to be activated as an AC? Also 617 is the one who reports the mission is complete so he isn’t dead.

Except the voice seems monotone and "detached" as hell, so most likely an AI or a human operator observing. Though it is very specific to say 617 was "down" unlike all the others, so probably still alive. Also, where is 618?
