Just finished my first playthrough, I chose the liberator ending, It was such an emotional experience. Betraying Walter and Carla's dream left me heartbroken but when Rubicon rose up and rusty came to the call of liberation I felt like I was doing the just thing, god it was incredible, loved every second of it.

Of all the endings that one hit me the hardest. Betraying Carla sucked Sooooo bad. She's with you like 90% of the game and she comes to your rescue. Then you have to kill her. That was sad, and to watch her get sad about Chatty if you take him out first. It was awful.

Third ending was so unique. Allmind goal is to absorb all rubiconians through the coral by releasing them and Ayre knew that she can't trust them. With the coral released from the convergence, all rubiconians scattered everywhere, and possess the armor core. Now the new age begins with another conflict. There are group of coral Rubiconians that exist as a corporates, guerrillas, or mercenaries. 621 and Ayre have a long campaign to finish it.

Although the thing with the past titles are that due to internet infrastructure and hardware limitations, large DLC's/.Expansions with new campaigns were not really a thing, hence all the in-between games on the PS2. But Monster Hunter World has shown us a larger paid expansions can definitely bring a whole new story to the base game. Just not sure if FROM's AC team wants to do a 0.75 story or go full 1 and release a whole new game's worth of content in AC7.

Usually, Armored Core series is just like Final Fantasy series like how Armored Core 5 and 6 have different universe settings and plot to each other.

The third ending is very similar to Paul's holy Jihad at the beginning of Dune Messiah. Armored Core 6 to me is like a love letter to Dune in mecha form and I love it.

Ayre was a human, all Rubiconians that died from the Coral were turned into A.I. in the Coral. The Ayre fight, Ayre went rampant from the voices in the Coral converging, just like the Ice Worm but was going to trigger the convergence. Walter was "Re-educated" by Arquebus, using the Coral. He was Snail/Arquebus's Plan B. Arquebus originally wanted to "Re-educate" Raven with the Coral. The converging of the Coral would turn them rampant and trigger the convergence. ALLMIND was Arquebus's resource and was going to use V.VII to trigger the convergence due to his Coral affinity. Replaced by Iguazu, or Walter. (Also goes rogue to achieve it's objective, like most A.I.) Balam, a supernatural being in Mayan religion that guards cornfields and villages. Balaam, reviled as a "wicked man" in both the Torah and the New Testament. Appropriately the opposition to Arquebus. Balaam was responsible for causing the Israelites to commit sin and cursed them. Arquebus, a form of long gun that appeared in Europe and the Ottoman Empire during the 15th century. An early type of portable gun supported on a tripod or a forked rest. The corporation was named from the start with the intention of building the structure gathering the Coral, a galaxy, or universe destroying "Arquebus gun". The Vespers name is the name of an evening prayer Balteus, the girdle of a biblical Jewish priest, and alternative name of the Pope's Subcinctorium. Snail, Psalm 58:8. Part of a stanza calling upon God to frustrate and destroy the wicked or unfaithful. Freud was fighting for Arquebus in anticipation of the convergence, refer to ALLMIND ending and his death on Xylem. God, I love the Liberator of Rubicon Ending. It's tragic yet satisfying, and it implies at its end that there's more work for the Player and Ayre to do. Did the ending twice and I'm not regretting it one bit. Might do the Fires of Raven ending next, tho.

The Coral is successfully spread throughout all known inhabited worlds, fusing them all with the humans and machines. Humanity has been artificially evolved, for better or worse. And seeing the stuff 621 and Ayre can pull off together, it's gonna be an interesting future.

It’s interesting, we can see from allmind that consciousness can be moved through the coral which is evident with G5 Iguasu but as he mentions in that fight that he’s not the only one, so does the third ending imply that the coral has spread across the universe carrying every consciousness that died on rubicon into new bodies? Because from the end cutscene we can see AC’s that are from other characters that died in the game like G4 Volta and V.VIII Pater are coming to life along with our starter AC. Does this mean that Ayre was once a human as well? Maybe died in the fire of ibis and got their consciousness moved by the coral into what she is? We will probably never know the answer because that’s how fromsoftware rolls but maybe if there’s a dlc or a future sequel we’ll get something.

So technically, armored core 6 true ending is a prequel to all armored core series. They're everywhere and anywhere, meaning that they're across time and places. That explains why White Glint from armored core 4 / F.A , Chief, gets a second wind cause of the coral links. The origins of Raven, etc. Its also why Armored core 5 and verdict day, two A.I.s, chief and the other guy, can manufacture such an advanced or otherwise powerful ancient tech.

And AC5 and ACVD are no different, no matter how many references to the past Verdict Day especially makes.

No it isn't. Even though none of the numbered series except AC1 and AC2 are connected, the series always had a since of progression, especially how much worse things get. How did they ruin the planet this time. Earth uninhabitable from all the war so they live underground. Civilization on Mars is just beginning and look at what happened. Armored Core 5, with all of its underachieving, undersold, lost, confused, borderline incoherent glory says one thing on this subject: WAR. That is all. It isn't a surprise mankind caused the fires of ibis. The shocking part that it happened to the fictional planet Rubicon 3 instead of Earth. So even if they are connected, AC6 will always be the more recent thing that happened, followed by Verdict Day, then 5. There are no prequels. And AC6 went on to do freaking everything AC did in the past, like it was all a do-over. Right down to the broken cities of Last Raven's intro that we would never play in. Or the iconic battleship mission from AC4 that is infamously undercut by how A) only the ship at the end matters and B) how overly long the field is even with your fast AF NEXT gen AC. IBIS. Silent Line. The water. And more. More importantly the A.I.s were all created by mankind, not born from flammable space fuel. Never mind how the devs outright said that AC6 isn't connected to the past titles either.

Once you get the first two endings and start another run, you’ll eventually get a new mission in chapter 1, which is to defend the STRIDER instead of destroy it like normal. From there you’ll see new missions pop up you didn’t have before

The reason why C-Weapons try to kill us in the first place were because they were relics from Ibis...a HUMAN science organization. And Rubicon definitely got fucked at Fires of Raven ending. The PCA said that the place was inhabitable and marked as a dead planet. The narrator remarks that you're a renowned monster for what you did. However, I agree with you. Coral is an unknown factor. Ayre and the other Coral can still be exploited by humans. They will be used for wars and fights. Walter explicitly states, "where there is Coral, there is blood." I can't say whether letting Coral go will automatically be good. But if all the characters had to die for something, I'm going all out on ambiguous and unknown future.

Arguably the Liberator of Rubicon ending is the lesser of two evils, given you're not (to my understanding) committing genocide against an entire species. Fires of Raven means that Ayre's entire species dies out through the Coral Collapse, Liberator of Rubicon gives humanity and Coral a chance to co-exist, however unlikely that is.

Nah ME3 had a better ending than this if you discount the this games third ending though that changes
