Armored Core FA Defeat Red Rum and Starka

The thing that makes this mission such bullshit is the fact that your lock-on range is reduced to basically point-blank because of the fog. Red Rum's slug gun is insanely powerful at that range, and the NEXT itself is quite capable of running circles around you if you can't keep your distance (which, even if you can, doesn't help in this mission because again, reduced lock radius).

As I recall (it's been a while), I use two shoulder mounted vulcans and two machine guns on each arms and free-aimed to eventually get her. Lure her in, strafe and fire hoping to hit. I think I was down to my last weapon and barely any ammo when I won.

I like how the first thing someone said here was "use your backups" ...I don't recall ever getting that choice and if I did it clearly didn't matter because they couldn't do shit to her.

The only easy way for me to beat this level is with only a sword. I’m not kidding. I beat this mission solo with swords only. Beating this mission felt bittersweet and this is my most hated level in history. I still can’t get an S rank on this mission and it makes me butt hurt.

if u wanna s rank the easy way....dual blades and switch the gameplay version to 1.14 (i think) for unlimited energy/boosting.

Even with quick turning the build I was using at the time couldn't follow Red Rum within lock-on range. Had to use another build

The make the level harder by limiting your targeting distance cause of the fog. So it's easier for her to rush up and shoot you before you can shoot her.
