Armored Core: for Answer - Online 3vs3 -NA vs JPN- (05/18/2010)

The host set up a rare Japanese- vs English-community match for us, so I thought it'd be nice to preserve some of the footage here.
We Japanese are on blue team, and the English players are on red team. I'm hoping everyone else had as much fun as I did. It's interesting how there's such a big difference in the way the two regions play!

Hi! I was 2p on the ENG team and honestly going back and seeing this was some of the best fun I had in years, If I recall correctly my team and I REALLY enjoyed this fight and were thankful for your guys' time. I can't wait for AC6 to come out. I'm currently playing through ACFA again on an emulator just to get back into things and feel that nostalgia from back then but I always come back to this video to enjoy the crazy fight that it was. Heheh, that thing at the end was a surrender. In Japanese player match servers it's polite to run out of bounds or get yourself killed when you run out of ammo, even if it means causing your team to lose (but nobody will think badly of you, since it's manners). I'm fascinated by the English AC players. The JP fanbase has researched just about everything about the game, down to the network packet sent per quickboost, but the Eng. players have kept up with them without any of that information.

I'm italian and i play AC since i was 8 years old ,i played AC Master Of Arena first of all and it was all in japanese so i don't understand anything about the missions and at that time we don't have even the analogic stick, for me it was some kind of forced trial and error but i fall in love immediatly. After rewatching this I want to give my compliments to who ever was using the heavy chain gun in the first match. Those big rotary guns are not always easy to use due to the slower bullet velocity. It seems like A LOT of work was done by this player, though. I noticed that at least the last two AC's who were in the quadruple digits were shredded almost instantly once he got in optimal range. I give my props to you, random gattling wielding Raven/Lynx.

Well, you might want to hold onto that hype for a sec. This is AC For Answer (the sequel to AC4). AC5 was pretty terrible with its movements, and everything was completely different. I hope AC6 goes back to this but we don't quite know yet, so brace yourself just in case it does something completely different and it's a lot slower and jankier than you might be hoping for. Wait for some more combat footage from AC6 before you get your hopes up too hard.

It necessitated very empty and frankly, boring maps to allow for the level of movement that combat allowed for. ACVD is much more methodical due to the lack of speed and distance management options (no fly). if anything is janky it's the camera in AC4

+hkpkppq This game is easily controllable, you simply need an intuitive understanding of every control, and how your mech will react to it. For example: A lightweight AC will quickboost farther and faster than a heavyweight AC. Not only that, but quickly slapping the right control stick in the direction you want to turn AFTER you've quick boosted will turn you super fast in that direction. As a lightweight AC, you're looking at 90-120 degree's of turning. As a heavyweight AC, or treaded, you're looking at a 45-80 degree turn, depending on your build. Basically; this game isn't difficult to control, it's difficult to understand your mech. EVERY AC will perform differently than someone else's, thus why you need to learn YOUR playstyle, not just what someone says "is the best."

+hkpkppq in singleplayer you can earn 6(points) each mission you complete on S rank that include normal missions and hard missions with those points you can tune you're next and spend points in important stuff to make you're engine and stuff better and they do not specify the ranking they are playing on 1.00 - 1.40 in between that

There was a post comparing the size of the shipping container (if it's real world size) as reference to the AC in the new trailer and it's the exact same size as a standard NEXT (10-11m) so if they go for NEXT style ACs looks like I have to catchup again on this shit lmao
