One of the speculation indicates that Rusty knew we r not the "old" raven who brought Corps to rubicon, but the rookie raven the first time he met us is because he is the one who secretly sniped down the old raven(maybe just the AC. pilot survived to face us later). Clue No.1 rusty is probabbly the only figure mentioned in the game to have prominent skill in sharp shooting from undetectable distance. No.2 old raven's dead AC was found IN THE OPEN on an ezly snipable platform in a city occupied by RLA. No.3 old raven's AC Nightfall was found in a crater right next to his carrier helicopter which may indicates the helicopter got sniped while in transport mid-air or just about to take-off. No.4 Rusty has many reasons to kill Raven for the RLA, yet he couldn't do it fairly in combat since Aquebus hires THE BRANCH to suppress RLA territories. So rusty saw the opportunity to secretly sniped Nightfall in an RLA occupied area which Rusty know where to hide for the snipe shot.

Started a new savefile yesterday to experience the whole story again. Here's some new discoveries. I start to believe old Raven deliberately gave up his(or more likely, her) liscense. Well, on this planet, liscense to operate is granted by Allmind. If you want to get rid of your liscense, you don't toss it on the street, you have to fake your death or at least an MIA. If we take a closer look at the scene, the crushed transport helicopter is on major fire and it makes a big crater no one can miss. However, the death scene of Nightfall is, unlike other AC wreckage we found at contaminated city, very much intact. This makes me starting to think it is self-directed that Raven blew his own helicopter to fake his death to be spared from Allmind's surveillance. Why? well first, The Branch, which later leaked the information about Coral to corps, was originally informed by Allmind ofc(who else knows other than Walter). This means members of The Branch must have been somewhat guided by Allmind. 2nd, as a person of free will, Raven didn't want to be monitored and controlled by Allmind towards Coral release, and perhaps he chose to fight against this ending, evidenced by his own operation to attack Aquebus's spaceport(happens to meet and kill a PCA fleet) to slow Allmind's first objective of helping Aquebus to win the race. 3rd, believe it or not, the access to parts shop and AC tweaking is a funcion granted by Allmind. If you lose support of Allmind, you don't get to build, repair and mod your AC. Yet, Raven can still get back his Nightfall with helps of The Branch, evidenced by OTK's drawing in which the other three are helping rebuild Nightfall to be suited for all types of combat(melee pile bunker + close range AA + mid range rifle + mid range dual missiles + mid to long range songbirds) so the need for frequent retweak is minimized. He also doesn't care about rankings and money like his teammates. Therefore Raven is one of the very few who's comfortable to be rid of his liscense. 4th, we can see in the game that Allmind doesn't know much about Raven or Nightfall, as only in very late game do we get its headpiece. This is supporting the idea of Raven fights against Allmind and deliberately avoid letting Allmind collect its data to an extend even its head is an one-off piece hand tweaked from RaD module. To summarize, Raven was one of the early few skilled pilots guided by Allmind(still don't like the speculation that 617 became Raven), he later chose to fight against Coral release not because of some strong resolve but simply out of free will, he found himself in a rare position that he can give up liscense to both pass down the spirit of free will and stop Allmind from tracking him. So he faked an MIA and secretly continued his own operations. Later he met us and confirmed we are strong and have potential to freely choose what to fight for. Ultimately he died to us without burden and regret, didn't even try to use the escape pod. Raven, an unchained legend.

@@beijingmagiciandamn that's insane but I'm grateful for this info because I really want curious if there was more info on the original Raven & where he possibly came from
@beijingmagician8 ай бұрын
@@Beastly_Genius One speculation is that 617 from the story trailer which was a fantastic piece of movie-level art, became the Raven prior to us (probably still not the very original Raven who damaged PCA's satellite cannon since both King and Chartreuse are "older" than the Raven prior to us). This is evidenced by 617 survived the trailer with a heavily damaged AC which the trailer describes as "down" instead of "vital signal lost". His(more likely Her) AC apparently lost its head piece and left arm. In the other trailer(I believe there are only two trailers), we can see an AC without headpiece and left arm picking up a left arm from the wrecks while having a full backpack of materials that seem to be repair materials. This AC's body, legs, right arm parts are exactly the same as Raven's. In addition, from the trailer we can tell 617 is a great pilot who observes the Core Theory of efficiently building ACS meter by hitting opponents' weakpoint in close-range. Raven has a very similar combat style evidenced both in trailer and in-game. Finally, 617 is unchained from handler Walter, which makes him regain free will to choose what to fight for. The disability to talk might just came from the severe injury incurred in the trailer.

Elcano and Furlong's quiet support for the Liberation Front deserves its own dissection. What would you say is encouraging them to back Dolmayan and Flatwell's cause? They're probably home-grown corps on Rubicon like BAWS is, but I imagine there's more to it than just this.
@kirochanev8748 ай бұрын
I don't remember if it was in the data logs or in one of the parts description, but it was implied that Baws and the RLF established Elcano in a joint undertaking so they could oppose the power houses of Balam, Arquebus and their subsidiaries. As for Furlong we know that the Jupiter War was waged between them and Balam and it is implied that they lost, since after the fact Nile recruits Michigan(who was the commander of the Furlong fleet at the time) to join Balam's AC squad, the latter of which is then appointed commander. After this loss, Furlong probably pulled back from a lot of military expansion agendas but they are still among the biggest corporations in AC6. Through the independent mercenary data log it is also implied that Furlong is making moves behind the scenes even though they don't have any of their forces landed on Rubicon. Furlong pretty much agrees to supply the RLF and Elcano with tech so that they can undermine their direct competitors Arquebus and Balam.

Heya, experienced PVPer here. Rusty's build is a Right-Arm switch mid-range ACS build with the plasma missle as a sustain. You punish on his frame using the dual slicers post stun. The RANSETSU RF's on its own has a high ACS buildup, along with SAMPU for close range builds in fights. ALBA frame on the other hand, focuses on in-pause missle tracking via TRUENO's post lock system, then pressuring the ACS with the orbit gun, and increasing the stun bar with the VIENTO. Same Dual Blade punish tech, but a lot more pressure on the TRUENO's on-hit 50% ACS buildup. Up to you who to pilot, but the Nachtreiter frames seem to have the edge solely because it has more range punish than the other.

I love how Rusty serves as a sort of White Glint equivalent in this game, something that is rather evident with that tragic, yet respectable, and heroic last stand of his as the last hope of his true faction. Wish he was confirmed to survive like Anatolia's Mercenary does past the events of AC4: Answer even if everyone's favorite buddy only does so in the timelines we do not clash against him with for a second time. However, as seen in your retelling, it is rather unlikely Rusty would manage to pull a Nightfall, or White Glint once more, and survived to pilot another day for a second time. Not impossible, but until we get more lore that proves otherwise, we just have to assume he perished in battle fighting for what he believes on all routes. Another thing I found very interesting which others have pointed out is how Rusty not only carries some thematic resemblance to White Glint, but also to Nineball. Something that can be seen in how he is ranked 09 in the arena (just like the Second White Glint was), and his Vesper ranking of V.IV (5+4 = 9), how even his Armored Core's name "Steal Haze" is spelled with nine letter, and that he has a fakeout death before the climax of the game with multiple options for the finale. However, something I have not seen anyone mention is that... technically we are also another Nineball equivalent ourselves. Our character not only takes the mantle of "Raven" at the start of the game (a name that represents the Armored Core player base, and franchise as a whole), but our true identification number is "621" which also adds up to, you guessed it, nine. There are very interesting parallels between Nineball, and White Glint (one of my favorites being the presence of N-WGIX/v or "Black Glint" in ACVD), and I feel there might be something more being implied by this sort of numerical, and symbolic link established via Rusty, and Raven as well, yet I do not know enough about the lore to figure out what it is. Honestly, the most I can speculate about this idea is that Rusty is the Joshua'O Brien to 621's Anatolia's Mercenary. Someone who is a friend, and rival one does not wish to fight against, and whom may serve as an inspiration for the playable character later down the line. Additionally, the concept that the game is using Rusty as a way to drive in the idea that the player should choose what they wish to fight for instead of just mindlessly doing missions without a true sense of purpose, or for credits as 621 has mostly been doing across the game, and to go beyond living as a mere (yet ludicrously capable) mercenary that most AC pilots across the franchise (and much of the fanbase) are accustomed to via the way Rusty questions 621 about "who needs [Raven]" to keep living, and fighting before the clash starts, and then warns about the dangers of power without purpose. The game indirectly asking YOU, to actually consider the consequences of one's actions, (especially if one has not been doing so until that point), as well as to finally pick a path with a meaningful decision for once instead of just following orders. To actually choose which route we believe is best, and to stick to it. Using another character who symbolizes the number nine in Rusty to subtly show that as he represented the last hope of the Rubicon Liberation Front WE ourselves can, and *should* bring tangible hope to the future of the world least we lead Rubicon, and perhaps the rest of the universe down a path of despair. Perhaps even having him serve as a subtle guide for which path the game considers to be the optimal stance based on Rusty's stance: We can fulfill the hope of Overseer for the rest of the universe to be free of the potential dangers that Coral's existence represents to the universe, and avoid the risk of humanity's further, and potentially disastrous misuse of its power, but at the cost of all life on Rubicon including our own (Fires of Raven path) being forfeit. Alternatively we can bring about the hopes of the Rubicon Liberation Front, and remove cooperate control from the planet whilst simultaneously working towards building a potential coexistence with the Coral on the future (Liberation of Rubicon). Otherwise we can instead carry out the hopes of Allmind, and the Coral by causing the Coral Release, starting a new age that will permanently change the course of life across the entire universe, and leading existence down a new terrifying, possibly horrific, or perhaps prosperous, but definitely uncertain future (Alea Iacta Est). During the first route Rusty dies trying to oppose us, and we lose everything including ourselves (and the implication might be that ultimately we are still just following Walter's orders instead of choosing for ourselves once more; acting as an obedient, but mindless hound to the very end). In the second route, Rusty fights along side us, yet sadly still likely perishes, but at least we manage to protect the planet which he died trying to defend; all the while finally finding something worth fighting for that matters to us personally which even Walter acknowledges, a waifu- *cough* a "friend" in Ayre (similar to how Rusty is/was our buddy and someone we care about) that we wish to protect. Lastly, in the final route Rusty's fate is uncertain, yet implied to be tragic whilst we do not even witness his story's conclusion. The player is the hope for change in Armored Core 6's universe, so what course will we write in the end, and will we make the right choice? Ultimately though, who is to say if any of what I said is correct safe for Fromsoft themselves. Perhaps I am reading too much into some of these ideas, but... I do believe there is something being said even if I am failing to properly interprete it. Maybe another Raven can figure out the answer someday.

Other pieces of fiction have said "see you in (name of afterlife realm here)" right before the character saying that dies. So I am not sure if Rusty is dead in the Allmind ending, hopefully with DLC if it is after the Allmind path we see Rusty again. @slowjamsliver70068 ай бұрын
Likely it is the Coral Convergence. With the Ibis series made to prevent Coral disasters it is likely the Worm had the same directive. With the Coral Convergence happening in institute city, it moved to defend the entrance. @framesjanco1178 ай бұрын
@@slowjamsliver7006 you could say the Coral Convergence is “what” lead the Ice Worm away. Although the Convergence Point is the Vascular Plant which 621, Ayre and Rusty are unaware of. I wouldn’t say the Worm is drawn to that. As you stated before, “it moved to defend the entrance” such was the orders from the PCA and not necessarily an Ibis series objective (to prevent Coral disasters) I think instead of “what” drew its attention, you could say “who” drew its attention. Arquebus busy with the assault on the PCA bases; Balam is an unlikely choice (cuz Redguns sUcKS lol jk) or even independent merc groups. I believe the Ice Worm was defending the entrance from AllMind, as you could find a destroyed Ghost Mech in the lower Depths of Watch Point Alpha. What is a greater imperative than stopping a meticulous A.I from siphoning all the Coral for Release?

Also for many that don't know this, but on the mission to destroy the Ice Worm, not only was Rusty firing a massive rail cannon, he was firing this cannon from across an OCEAN. The level of aim and precision he demonstrated was unreal. Not only that you can legit see how much energy that cannon was packing as well, as we can see how bright it was from that far away. Rusty is just built different.

A zoolie the witch video shows Rusty actually fired from the fuelling station, the one we took from PCA for Aquebus early on which is just a couple miles away. And hell yeah Rusty did put 99 points in Dex. Both his ACs r freaking fast and heavily "PVP oriented" because his goal demands him to focus on neutralizing key ACs over blasting MTs.

Story-wise he's *very close* to Joshua O'Brien from AC4. A war-buddy that you end up fighting at the end. If that's the case I hope STEEL HAZE ends up being remade into something ridiculously powerful in the AC6 expansion, like how WHITE GLINT (Anatolia's Mercenary) was built from scratch and fights differently but shares the name and emblem of the original (Joshua O'Brien).

I can sympathize with Iguazu a bit more after having done all the endings. He's just a guy who wants a good life, but he lost a big bet, was augmented, is constantly picked on by the Redguns (even though they actually like him, and even respect him), and trained hard to get G5 just to be beaten out by some random merc over and over. Everything he wants and worked so hard to achieve (in his eyes) is constantly taken from him. He's a skilled pilot who just happened to run into an even more skilled merc, the merc who had it all. With all that said, he's still a walking salt mine 😂

@@sturmgewehr3812 he made it to rank 5 because no one was good enough to stop him- until 621 that is. Then he went so far as to desert the Wallclimber mission and hire a merc (Coldcall) to take out 621. Plus he's been whining so much about Michigan that he doesn't realize he's being trained and led. G.6 calls 621 the Curse of the Redguns but that title really belongs to Iguazu for ditching the Redguns at a time when they needed every skilled pilot on their side.

I wonder how difficult it was for Rusty to exist in the Vesper and stay undercover. Obviously, it's a game and almost all the coding of enemy AC pilots are coded the same, but I mean more lore wise. I wonder if he was worried about going too strong sometimes to really make Rusty stand out too much in Arquebus. He's clearly a better pilot than Snail but even during the SnailTEUS fight, he puts respect on Snail's piloting abilities. I do really wish we got so much more when it came to more background lore when it came for AC6. Perhaps I care too much though, I do love this game a lot.

See now its that sorta stuff that makes a character human. I like to think rusty would worry, someday he'd have sleepless night, when attacking the front members and someone recognises him he panics and goes straight for the kill. As for his skill i think rusty would worry but i think flatwell had taught him well about the plan and how to act. It was a well thought out plan but sadly i think o keeffe was always one step ahead even at the start. But he had his own issues and perhaps allmind holding him back to really act early.
