This song made me feel so warm, cosy, nostalgic. The good old simple times, man. Heavy metal, friends, family. Everything's so overly complicated these days.

I'll never forget seeing the Monsters of Metal tour in 85, I think. It was in a club in Baltimore, and Armored Saint opened. Next came Wasp, then the headliner, Metallica! It was the Ride the Lightning tour for them, and Wasp was promoting Wasp, their self-titled debut. The Saint was promoting March of the Saint. Cliff Burton was still alive and kicking ass. I saw it all, and felt every note from about 25 feet away on the floor in front of the stage. Amazing show!😊😊😊

Thanks a lot, guys. I was very fortunate to be alive and at that age then. I got to see a bunch of iconic bands, some in small clubs and venues, some in arenas. The one that I really regret missing was Randy Rhodes, with Ozzy. I had tickets already in my room, for the April 20, 1981 show in Baltimore. Unfortunately, Randy died in that plane crash on March 19, 1981. I missed him by a month and one day... My first concert was in 1978 sometime. I was 12, and it was Styx. It was a friend of mine from school along with 4 girls who all liked Styx. Since then, I've seen nearly everyone from AC/DC to ZZ Top. As long as they were rock. Most of them were metal and hair metal bands. Had a whole lotta fun.

Why the hell have I never heard of this band? I 'm an 80's hard rock fan and very fond of all the popular 80's groups. Crue, Ratt, Ozzy, etc. Who's been hiding them away? They sound pretty good.
@retroxify2 жыл бұрын
They hit their stride at a bad time. The industry in the US was dominated by pretty boy hair metal bands mostly thanks to MTV at the time, and these guys weren't exactly lookers. Same fate befell Cinderella (my favorite from the hair era), although to a far lesser degree. They were probably regarded as a sort of relic from a "bygone" metal era that included pioneer Brit metal bands like Priest, Maiden, Grim Reaper, etc. Ozzy was the exception because he had enough momentum from Sabbath to be as ugly on MTV as he wanted. Anyway, better late than never! John Bush is a metal GOAT.
