I enjoy your entire discography, but damn...this is your best song EVER. This was my anthem as a teenager in the 80s -- the good times, the bad times, whenever, this pure metal tune has Always raised me up, even to this day; it never lets up. So very appropriate for that decade especially. I really dig how the final 2 verses switch to "I'm *gonna* be somebody!"...raw, empowering heavy metal at its finest. Songs like this literally changed my life back then, for the better.

I could not imagine in 1985 I could go on my Commodore 64 (with the Sylvania 13" TV monitor) and access some world wide web that let me watch almost any music video I wanted to? I saw W.A.S.P. in the 80s as the opening act for Iron Maiden in Germany. It was the 'Somewhere in time' tour. I am now 58 years old and I will never forget how indescribably awesome it was to be there. Nothing can top the 80s 🤟🎸🤟

It is able to be HD remastered easily/er because it was filmed in the 80s on film meaning a 4k transfer shouldn't be too hard to do at least in comparison to non film grade media.

I always thought HD took away from the original. If you clean up old film footage too much it loses it's unique appeal and nostalgia. I think it should be preserved "as-is". This is just my honest opinion. 😏

When I first saw this video from Blackie Lawless and the rest of his crew on MuchMusic's metal Wednesday, they were the freakiest bunch I've ever seen. I had no idea just how good this band was and how gifted Lawless was as a songwriter. I'm not surprised W.A.S.P. gets a ton of love to this very day.

WASP is an incredibly talented band.Should have been much bigger." "I wannabe Somebody " should be a sports anthem played in stadiums , and arena' s around the country.Hey they are still touring and the fan reaction is awesome. They are right up there with Motley from that genre.

I remember in the 80's in Highschool a kid sitting in an isle next to me in music class suddenlty shouted in class, "I wanna be somebody...be somebody too" made me want to find the actual song!
