Armory Tutorial: P365/P365XL JTTC comp and barrel install.

Xmacro tacops here. Got the XL combo. Used one .005 shim. Was not quite where he shows the “pre-tightening” sweet spot, was a bit less. But cranked her down. Drying now. I’ll edit this after I go to the range. However, it does look like I can see a small portion the shim, so wish me luck.

Hey there, does the comp need to come off completely in order to clean the firearm?

no it does not. clean it like you would without the comp. You can add a few drops of cleaner in the port of the comp and scrub that with a brush as well.

Do these have to be flush to work? I have an x-Macro but dont want a different grip or slide. Itll just make it longer, yeah?

Does this comp add length to the overall length of the firearms?

Yes. All comps add length. This comp adds 1/2”

This video tells you nothing in terms of how many shims to use based on the clocking of the compensator.

That’s because every barrel and comp Will be different. This video shows you how to get the timing where it needs to be. The amount and thickness of shims will be up to the end user to find out with a pre-install.

That white block should just be included in the kit since it’s necessary.

It’s not necessary if you have soft jaws or leather.. they cost money to make so we should just include them.. for free?

Little late but I'd just use a strap because that block just exploded off my vice with pressure and my optic got scratched

Can this be installed on a standard macro grip and still use your existing macro holster or will it require a different holster?

If you’re using a p365 length slide it’ll be flush with a macro grip and a holster made for a macro, yes.
